Got these CF mirrors on ebay, it's the full housing, for those who wanted to upgrade their 08-09 (they sell painted ones), or even people with the newer mirrors that just wanted CF; takes ~10 mins each side, very simple, since some requested, a snapped some pics:

Old:

Tilt mirror, and pull (with some force also remove 3 wires [plugged into mirror]):

remove 3 screws:

pull off rim of housing:

remove 3 more screws and pull out motor:

Pull of bottom half (has tabs, pulls right off):

Take top off:

3 pieces total (old, and new):

Put new top half on (and plug new LED wire into the stock plug):

Bottom part:

Plug the 3 wires back into mirrors, and snap mirror into housing:

Make sure turn signals work, and mirror motor works, and done!:

Just rolled 15k today!

They sell for $295 on ebay

Dang, my mirrors just got sanded to be painted at the shop today. Eh...I'll just paint the top half of that transparent/reflector part and be done with it. Maybe another time.

Great write up, though

There are LED plugs in our current mirrors even though we don't have LED now?

Be aware that these CF mirror housings have a different design than the OEM 2009 mirrors.
These housings will work only on the 2008 mirror.

Great write up

Great job on the writeup? Looks good. The LED panel at the bottom with the gloss black plastic is optional right? You can reuse your OEM piece?

Do you know whether it be possible to reuse the OEM bottom half (the non carbon bit), becoz my mirror doesnt have puddle lights at the bottom.

Didn't attempt; but I think it will, the new housing comes with wiring to connect the puddle lights (I didn't bother with that).

yes, the turn signals work.

Is it just me but seems like the bottom plastics is smooth and glossblack not matching the base of the mirror at attaches to the car?
