AMG Academy at Lime Rock in September?

I'm probably going to go up there the night before the event, although the rooms in the area look too musty and old for my liking.
Anyone know of a decent spot in or around Lime Rock?

At best, the rooms are ok, but very dated (1980's decor). Feedback from friends and family suggest that sanity standards are sometimes not the highest.

I like the pun... If you find something better, please share. I could only find B&B's with victorian deco... maybe for a couple, but not for a guy who just wants to drive 3 hours, have dinner, a drink and just sleep.

Interlaken - rooms have been updated, newer reviews in last year are nearly all 5 of 5. Has good restaurant with discount and a free local 20 oz. beer in your room with the track package. Also has a lake to have a cigar by and a 5 min drive in the morning...
I think I'm sticking with Interlaken. If I don't like it, I'll switch for the Advanced course next year.

...and I blew out my RIGHT knee for the first time yesterday. Self, internet, diagnosis is a stretched or torn MCL (inside the knee). Since that ligament is important to get from the accelerator to the brake and I'm 3 weeks away, I may have to cancel while I can with a full reimbursement.
Enjoy and please provide feedback after since I will be at home in a foul mood.

So I healed fortunately... It was a nail biter though.
For those of you going, are you driving the 2-3 hours home that night or staying a night to take a break from driving all day?

I went to road atlanta for the AMG academy. It was amazing, you guys will have so much fun but I do recommend you rest well before the event. it is a long and tiring day. (might also want to considering resting after too if you are going to drive 3+ hours)
btw you guys should take the auto x competition seriously, you get some awesome prizes!

I instructed for the BMW, Ferrari and other clubs for a number of years and Lime Rock was a fun, relatively local track for me. The Interlaken was always the default place to stay, far from fancy, but clean enought and handy to the track and places to eat in town.
I do not know what the program is for the 'academy' but if, like some of the other schools I instructed at, you have an option for spending time on the skid pad. I would definitly take it.
