It does look at the second pic showing the wheel, caliper and rotor up close. These are the same rotors used since the P31 Development Package was introduced in 2010.

C63 AMG 507 Edition
Thanks for the feedback guys.
If I remember the car manual correctly, "Only MB approved parts and accessories have been designed specifically to suit the vehicle". Clearly any other tyre would not be up to scratch!
Lol, not even sure why I do that, it seems both a stupid and prudent thing to do.
At some point I'll dyno it to confirm your theory...
Carbon fibre is not even an option here in Australia. I think other markets have it as an option for the 507. Anyone else able to comment?

All the releases said composite rotors which are on the p30 package, not p31. They are two piece floating rotors.

Carbon fiber interior trim is an extra cost option here in the US, but there is no option for carbon fiber exterior parts at all (which is unfortunate).

I see what you mean by the P30 reference and not really sure what they meant by it or the comment of the two piece floating rotor but the reference could certainly lead to confusion between the two different rotor/hat designs.
I just went on the Brembo site which had a description of the P31 rotor design as applied to the CTS-V. It is changed now and references a two piece rotor design using fasteners and not cast together rotors. Maybe MB is just using up their stock of P31 rotors until they switch to the newer (older?) two piece bolted together rotor design similar to the CTS-V. Here is a link to the current description. I don't know if the older description is available any more or not but could not find any link to it.
