New Sponsor Intro: Carbonio Advanced Composites
We have just joined MBWorld as a forum sponsor and thought we would introduce ourselves to the community. Carbonio is a specialist composite manufacturer with an expertise in carbon fiber design and production of accessories and intake systems for Mercedes AMG, Ferrrari, Lamborghini, & Audi.
While we are new to the board we are not new to the industry having been around for over 10 years. We offer composite manufacturing solutions to all industries and supply several OEM's. Our real passion lies in cars which is why we have the performance division and it is these products we are showcasing to the community.
We welcome anyone to visit our website to learn more:

Online ordering is also available from:

Lastly we strive to be in stock of all products at all times. Orders ship same day and we pride ourselves in offering top customer service. We look forward to being part of the board and complimenting the offerings of some of the other sponsors.
Absolutely sick!!!!! It gives minimal gains, but what craftsmanship. Stellar. The quality, weave, and looks are sick. It adds such a raw yet refined look to the engine bay. It truly looks like it should have been an OEM piece and there in the first place. Anyone thinking about it..................DO IT!

Thank you for the kind words. We believe our product to be an improvement over ROW airboxes and the use of composite really helps keep the inlet temperatures cool which maintains consistent performance by reducing heat soak.

The big problem with group buys is that you get a ton of people screaming that at X price I'll be all over it and when the time comes to pony up at X price all you hear are crickets.
With that we are turning to the community members for their input. Our questions are:
1. At what price for a full AMG63 intake kit are you IN? (being reasonable of course)
2. Anyone have any clever ideas as to how to administer a special price in a way that is fair for both buyers and the seller?

Maybe take a "small" $50-$100 non-refundable deposit to see actual interest. And see how many people are willing to pony up that.
less than x number of buyers = $1500
more than x number of buyers = $1250
to ask for half off is a bit much.....just my $.02

At whatever price you work out, and I highly suggest you not low-ball them, their products are worth whatever price they come up with. I have been running their airbox for about 3 years and have simply loved the output and looks. The quality is outstanding and the complements continue to pour in every time the engine bay is exposed. Pop the hood and you will have on-lookers galore!!
I'm not trying to smack talk Carbonio products but I just want to make sure that if I'm shelling out $1000-$1500 on the kit that it won't look like this (see below) in 6-12 months.

Pics to come..............
Regarding the yellowing issue. If you note the date of the post it was back in 2011. We did experience a batch of intakes that had a contaminated clear that turned yellow with extreme heat. This was 3 years ago and affected less than 10 sets total All of our products carry our unlimited mileage guarantee and certainly a failure like the one in the picture would be subject to a no question replacement. Since that time we have shipped several hundred AMG63 intakes both domestically and internationally and have not had a single yellowing issue.
As always we encourage customers of both our products and those of competitors with issues to contact the manufacturer first rather than to turn to the forums for product information. Even the biggest and best organized companies get it wrong some times and negative forum posts can do great harm before a company has the chance to make things right.
Now back you your regularly scheduled group buy feeler.
