Just wondering if anyone else here is going to the AMG Performance Tour in Las Vegas this October/November and on what day? Would be fun to meet another board member and C63 owner!

I cant find any details on this. My wife and I were thinking of running down to vegas in Oct. I would love to check out an amg event. Tell me more.

AFAIK it's a MB dealer invite-only event for their AMG customers. Transfer from airport, dinner and overnight at a hotel in Vegas, full day at a race track with AMG cars & instructors, back to the hotel for dinner and overnight and transfer back to airport the following day. There are six dates in total (three late October, three early November). Don't think it's an open event -- you'd need to contact your dealer but I think it's pretty much fully booked by now.

 

If I remember right, this is a MB Canada only thing.

 

Yes, it is only for MB Canada customers. A handful chosen by each dealership are invited. I think I saw about 25 spots available each day so that would make about 150 total invited.

I keep thinking that by the time I get there, half of the cars will be dead and the other half pretty badly beaten... so please be nice and leave a little bit of rubber and brake pad material for me to kill.

Can't wait to drive the new E63S. I am seriously considering going that route next.

I read about this event on the Rolex forum and the info there was that they have mechanics working at night repairing/replacing everything. That participant said he drove the hell out of an SLS... What a blast!

I'm there again this year, my driving day is the 4th, but I'm staying till the 8th for SEMA.

LOL. At Porsche you'll get a lot of invites, but you'll have to pay for them out of your own pocket even if you don't go.

Thanks rage2! Will send you a PM if you want to meet there (I am driving on the 6th). Had I known about SEMA when I booked my flight I probably would have stayed for the extra day but it's too late now.

 

There's still spots available. Just checked the invite there's still 5 spots for Oct 30, 1 spot for Oct 31, and 1 spot for Nov 6. Also noticed they used my pics from last year's event on the invite!
