C63 Renntech Vs Weistec Tune?
Hello all,
I Just picked up a C63 last month and have just started to look into tuning options for the car. The two i have narrowed it down to are Renntech and Weistec. I have looked around on the forum and I have to say its really filled with great info but i really haven't been able to find anything on these two company's for tunes. Was just wondering if any members on here have any feed back on which on they feel will give me the best gains for the car

Congrats on picking a C63 and welcome to the family. Hands down, you'd wanna get Weistec as you can always upgrade to their supercharger in future (which is the ultimate modded tune)!

Bought my car with the tune on it. And I love it everyday!
But i'm tempted by the flexibility of weistec. Will probably pull the trigger in a few months time when I will install headers.
Price wise Renntech is well known for being expensive.

I know you said you have settled on Renntech or Weistec but figured I would go ahead and let you know we are no stranger to the C63. We just tuned one today in the shop that we installed long tube headers on. Here is the graph from the dyno run after the tune today.
Feel free to hit me up any time with any questions. We offer the handheld also.
Congrats on the new ride!

I have a RENNtech dyno-tune, done at their West Coast headquarters in early 2010. I think its a great tune and tuned exactly to my request but IMO the price of the RENNtech tune is seriously retarded. As much as I like it, if I did it again today - bearing in mind that the number of dyno tunes with headers done since means your chances of getting a spot-on canned tune with almost any mix or level of equipment is dramatically higher than the early days - I'd (probably) go with Eurocharged or Weistec. If you have headers (MBH for me) and you get the canned RENNtech tune there's no question you'll benefit from my files...we did a lot of runs and there's good data from those that I'm sure is incorporated in their off-the-shelf tune.

edit: I see the price of the RENNtech tune has gone down by $750. While high it's now a lot more reasonable IMO.

Thanks you guys are really helpfully. I have notice today that there actually is a RENNtech dealer in my area so im going to talk to them today about the gain and such of the tune. Still thought before i pull the trigger on them. Dose any one have any info on the gains they are seeing with either one of theses tunes.

I would go with the Weistec tune if I were you, but if you don't go with Weistec I would recommend Eurocharged before Renntech.

They are all top notch and you can't go wrong with the 3 mentioned.
If you have a local or semi local shop that carries one of the tune, that would be the way to go if price is not in your equation. If there are issues, it is much easier to get help.
I had a Eurocharged tune C63 and Jerry has now tuned my CLS. No issues.

Did you guys flash the ECU or did you actually tune it on a dyno?

If you have any other RENNtech-specific questions feel free to PM me. GL...
edit: Oops, I got confused as to who I was replying to. Thought you were in the Middle East and were Ahmed... In your situation that's a tough call. I went with RENNtech because my SA was RENNtech-friendly. The store services a number of RENNtech-modified cars and apparently they've never had an issue. Like I said though, price matters too.
