Hey guys I dont own a C63 (yet) I plan to purchase the next gen as soon as it is available, that being said I have been creeping on the forum trying to get some info on this beast of a car. Not sure if anyone has posted this but I came across an article with pictures of the new model's interior and a press release.

I think it looks great, aside from the floating screen which will have to grow on me, I would have preferred an integrated one but I can live with it. I dont believe that this is the real AMG as I would imagine that it wouldnt have a column shifter, but it may simply be an AMG package due to the sporty steering wheel?

I have yet to understand the obsession with the need for a center console shifter just because it's a "sports" car.
It's not a manual shift car so whats the big deal if AMG were to release a car with a column shifter?

i only like the shifter in the center console if it actually shifts the gears mechanically be it automatic or standard. All the other ones that are ism's are pointless. more electronics to fail. takes up alot of center console space. they need to make the paddles allow you to put it in neutral by holding them both down - like f1 gear boxes in ferraris etc...

I personally dont care if it has a console shifter or not, just going by what people are speculating. Everyone seems to agree that the AMG version will have a console shifter. I agree though paddles are all you'd really need.
