Carbonio review
First and foremost these airboxes the quality is 2nd to none
Such a nice product and well worth the group buy
Ok so my shop fitted these airboxes. As I changed my plugs and dumped my oil at the same time
I followed Charlie's instructions and we used all the oem bits clips, and little seals
And I have too say they are a little bit of a **** to get the maf sensors sealed but just a little time and they slip in perfectly
Now the clips are a pain but once u get them off the standard cover they clip right on the carbonio cover you have to spread the clips a bit other wise the cover will not sit probably ( that's were the other members were having issues I think OPen the clips guys)
Once everything is back together it just makes the engine bay look 20 times better
The first time I started my car it idled for 10 secs and just stalled I restarted it and then it was perfect it idled great I let it sit for 10 mins and it was fine
Ok now here goes my review
In c mode the car is not as smooth feels a little wierd jerky but only from 1000-2000 it's not bad or anything but you can sort of feel like you have changed the dynamics of the airflow
Now in s mode all the jerkiness has disappeared there is none of the issues above
Even at the 1-2000 rpm nothing feels great
What I have noticed is my car is louder sounds from the engine and exhaust it feels like its breathing better
I haven't had a chance to dyno it but I can feel a difference
I'm happy thanks carbonio your product has made me smile

This is great news.
Sounds like Carbonio was right after I put them on blast in the other thread, maybe people are just not that mechanically inclined to be installing these themselves. I guess I take mechanics for granted as I have been working on my own cars since I was 10 and started working on my Dads stuff with him.
Well I guess at some point I will need to go retract a few statements in that other thread.... lol
Sorry Carbonio...
As I said before, this thing looks amazing!

Great review. Not too sure you will see big movement HP wise when you'll dyno the car but at least you are happy with the product.
Sound wise this is to be expected, same as if you install the ROW airboxes.

The fact that one person did not have any problems with Carbonio intake does not mean that it doesn't have problems. I am still trying to make it fit properly. Actualy, we have more complaints than good things to say about this item.

Mine fits perfect...I only had to do a few small things and that was mainly because I didn't have the proper tools...other then that it took me <45 minutes and I've never installed a airintake before in my life, MAF sensors went in fine also..I did put one in upside down on acident at first but it was a pain to fit so I pulled it out...flipped it around and slid in perfect...nice and tight...I did use the OEM seals because they seemed perfectly fine...try using them vs the ones carbonio sent
