No records broke or anything, but I'm happy with the run.
Ive drag raced my SRT8 before but this is the first time at the track with the C63 and first time on street tires. I found these stock Conti's like a decent burnout, RS wasnt worth a darn, and learning to feather the throttle took a few runs - but at the end ran a 12.25 @ 115mph w/ 1.93 60ft.

How many times were you able to run tonight? Last time i went i was only able to run three times and it wasn't really worth the two hour drive down.

Nice! I'd say that's a very good time for a non p31.
I got a good 6 runs in. Got there at 4:30 when the gates opened. If you do that, you can get a decent amount of runs in. I could of got 7-8 if I stayed.
The first 4 were terrible. Wheel hop, spinning, etc... It took some time to figure out the right combo of air pressure, amount of burn out, and most difficult was the rolling into the throttle (I'm used to 325/45/17 drag radials where you could just mash the gas off the line and dead hook). These 255 Conti's took some "finesse", and the right amount of gradual throttle "roll on" application.
The last 2 runs of the night were the best. 2nd to last was a 12.34, and my very last was a 12.25.
I have a wedding to attend the next day, and I really wanted to stay longer and get a few more passes in as I really thought I could of got a 12.1x pass or better.... but alas, I had to leave at like 9:30.
Next time... was a blast.

Great run, I went to atco last friday with my 13coupe Non PP and also had a very hard time off the line, it was my first time tracking this car also only got 3 runs in .. RS was terrible the first run so didn't use it on the last 2 runs.. best was 12.71 @113 and it was with a 2.3xx 60 foot .. 1.9 60' is really well done on a night as cold as it was... what tire pressure did use on the final 2 runs

OP what year is your C63?
Also any idea for the DA during your runs?

Good numbers, congratz!
Ya on some cars, race start/launch control works well, on others it's a waste of time

Yup, my first run was a 12.84, lol. RS wasn't good so I switched to launching myself (stalling at around 1500rpm and rolling into it), and I was stuck at 12.6x for a few runs as I couldn't get off the line for crap (always rolled on too hard). I then lowered air pressure from 28 to 25, and what I think helped more so was doing a GOOD burnout. Originally Posted by MikeTc63

I always heard on street tires you just want to clean them off so that's what I was doing for the first 4 runs. As cold as it was, the tires really seamed to like a good cook.

2013 Coupe. DA was amazing and the biggest reason I went out last night. It started around -700, then dipped to -1000 as the temps dropped to 45 degree's. Great racing weather Originally Posted by csexty3

Per a few racing calculators like these:

&

In the air last night I was putting down around 436hp at the wheels (515hp flywheel 15% drivetrain loss). Not bad for an un-tuned stock C63

I used it about 3 weeks ago and it was "okay", but it was 70 degrees out. Last night, 45 was working against launching, but deff helped once you cleared the line.Originally Posted by crazy1eye

ExploreJust a side note - this car is without a doubt an 11 second car stock. The only "mod" you would need is a good drag set-up to get you off the line. You really want to be able to just mash the gas off the line and hook.
If I could of managed a 1.7x 60ft, I would of been in the 11.xx easily in last nights DA.

Nice runs
And I can vouch for 11's stock in good air, my best stock runs were at Atco this past March, like you said figuring out how to launch was the trickiest part but 1.8-1.9 60fts are doable on stock rubber.

Traction off, especially needed for the burnout. And yes, S+ for the fast shifts.Originally Posted by MikeTc63

So with only 2 runs I felt good about, 2 that I feel I finally figured out the car and the time got better with each run - I think I MIGHT be able to cut a low 1.8 60ft and POSSIBLY get an 11.9x. Possibly.
It totally sux that after my best pass of 12.2 I had to leave. DA kept dropping and I could of probably got in 3 more runs... bah!!
If I did this, would I be the first non-P31, completely stock C63 to get an 11 second pass?
Whats the record?

You should be able to be quicker, back in 09 with my car stock I ran 12.27@115.2 best trap was 115.7 completely stock Including stock tires.
With drag radials and k&n filters I ran 12.16@115.8.
This is all on pre face lift c63 with 7G trans Tq conv.
With MCT u should be able to get into high 11's stock.
