Illuminated Mercedes Star / Emblem - How many came stock?
But its true, my 13' C63 came with it on it. As one poster suggested, the dealership probably installed it... and if they did, I got a "freebee" as it's not listed on my paperwork anywhere and they must of forgot about it.
I honestly thought this was standard on the facelift C63's but now it appears I'm just special

He just responded to my text, the first vehicle the MB iluminated Star is available on is the 2014 CLA. It was not even offered as an option in 2013 therefore it is not an MB factory installed part.

Honestly, I hope that is an aftermarket and not stock light up logo, the quality seems a little iffy.
.........
And though this is not my car, this is more accurate in how it actually looks in real life at night. It's a very precise detailed outline of the emblem...

If the dealership installed it or it came this way I'll have no idea. But my 2013 C63 had this on it when I purchased it off the showroom floor. Call BS all you want, I have zero benifit to make up a story like this.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Did you buy the car new, or used. I would like to see how well it illuminates (see my previous post about dim spots), that would lead me to determine whether it is OEM or aftermarket).

Also, I have seent the factory illuminated star on a CLA and the one on your car looks different. The factory one is more backlit as where yours looks like the led's just shine out of tiny holes. Can't say for sure becasue photo quality is poor due to reflection off chrome but i would guess yours might be an aftermarket copy. I have seen a couple on ebay already.

Seller is the same dealership I purchsed my car from, Open Road Mercedes of Bridgewater (NJ)

It is an OEM MB part, but not a factory option. The sales dept had it installed it on my 2013 after the fact. They installed it to show it off to help the parts dept. sell them.
I got it for free.
The illuminated logo is cheesy, stuff like that is tacky. They know it, or it would be standard vs. a dealer add-on option.

Regarding Neon - Thats my next mod. But first I have to put on vent stick-on's, platidip everything, big wing, cut my springs, and put on go fast stickers.

Be sure to park it next to the green Camaros with the green BMW style headlight halos. Those are CHOICE.

Needs one of those too.
Just teasing you.
This is an official MB part , easily retrofited to any new gen MB.Should you maybe text higher ops as you said

My local MB dealer has them in stock right now. And they will fit a variety of models . . . including a 2008 W204 standard C Class.
I don't understand why he said that they were rolling out initially with the 2014 CLA.
The product has been available for several months now.
