Curious - I've been told that 3" mids and a 3" x pipe will lose power unless going supercharged.

I'm switching my h out for an X because I'm tired if it rattling around. Right now I have mbh headers going to my oem mids, and h-pipe.

Better to switch to 3" mids and 3" x or just swap the h for an x at 2.5?
