Best Place to Store Owner's Manual?

In my wife's car, as in most older cars, the owner's manual fits in the glove box. In B6 and B7 Audis, it fits under the steering column in a special place (which was cool because it left the glove box open). But in the C63, there are no obvious places within reach. Am I missing something. Are the any good places other than the front door pockets or in the trunk? Thanks.

Keep it at home. Do you really read your manual in your car?

If you need emergency access to the manual, it's available in PDF format to read off your smartphone.

I do like to have it in the car, but I know what you are saying. For example, right now I would like to know how to make the passenger mirror go down when I put it in reverse (and the usual of setting the selector to one side or the other does not appear to work).

I put the whole zippered manual case plus a spare qt of oil in the passenger side trunk doored compartment…make good use of a dead space IMO.

My glovebox (on facelifted car) does not seem to close with manual in there. I am stupid, but I wasn't stoned when I tried it.

Isn't that what the little cargo net on the passenger side floor is made for? Fits perfectly.

That's what I thought too. I have mine there and my previous w202 had it there as well.

Bad design from MB, my owners manual doesn't fit in my glove box either.

I put it in the net, but sometimes my passenger kicks it making it dirty.

The manual for My 2014 C63 fits fine in the glove box. But I like the trunk ideas.

As weird as this thread may be, the OP has a bit of a point. The C63's glovebox isnt exactly the most spacious compartment. The only thing that I put in there is my ipod because anything else would make it clutter.

I just put the zip pack that holds the documents and manuals on the floor behind the driver's seat; it's not like much people sit back there anyways.

Your car may be gone and not forgotten, but your memory regarding the glove compartment size is definitely forgotten.

Unless you possess shrink-ray technology, there is no way that the owner's manual (i.e., that entire leather case packed full of books that MB gives you) is fitting in the glove box.

What's your next car going to be?

Like I said. It fits in mine. No problem. I'd say whatever you're doing, you're doing it wrong. It is a small compartment but it works. It goes on the shelf on the left. Not on the right where the door hangs down.

^^ they must have redesigned the glove compartment in 2014 cuz my 2010 won't fit unless u remove it from the leather case.

It varies.
My handbook cover measures 8/34"×7"×2/14". It fits on the top shelf in the glovebox. This is on a 2012 model.

2009, it fit fine in top of glove box. If is does not fit, you must be putting all the extra BS paper your received in the case too.

That's because it's designed for gloves.

Only thing I keep in there are DVDs for the kids. So much more convenient having the manuals in PDF on the phone.

I was actually trying to be friendly.

I think that there is a mix-up going on here. I think some folks are talking about just the manual itself, whereas others are talking about a relatively large leather case stuffed full of all kinds of books, including the manual.

All I know is that my collection of books, manuals, etc. whilst inside the case, will not fit in the glove box. I'll provide photographic documentation if need be.

I asked you what your next car was going to be but you were in such an uncontrollable excitement to point out those other posts that you must've missed it.
