I was thinking the exact same thing, having said that, there is no way that this wasn't not going to happen. From what I understand the street was shut down for the sole purpose of paying tribute in this exact manner. Local police probably figured it was going to happen one way or another. Up to bystanders to assess the situation to determine their own risk in being involved at that point.

I'm with you. I was also thinking the same thing while watching the video. So have they found out the cause of the accident yet?

I'd like to know also, hopefully they figure something out but is it even going to be possible with the condition that car was in?

Not sure if that's the exact cause, but I agree and was thinking the same thing as you and the others below..."what if" someone watching got clipped, or one of those cars lost control. That youtube channel had several other PW videos paying tribute. In any case, hopefully no one gets harmed in any of the "tributes" that are being done.

The stupidity of saluting or paying respects to someone who died in a high speed car accident by parading 40 cars for the camera speeding through city streets just blows my mind. These people cant be that moronic surely.
Wouldnt a slow drive by by said morons in their performance vehicles past the crash site been more poignant and appropriate.

All those speeding drivers and spectators...just wanting some handouts of Darwin's awards. If the same thing happen to them, they sure can bet they wouldn't get so much publicity.
Similar accidents happen all the time around the world everyday, but we rarely hear anything about them. He is a nice person and that's unforunate, but I'm sure many victims and innocent bystanders in similar accidents are nice people, too. That's why I don't see this accident as any different than accidents that happen every single day.
Nowadays, being on the media makes you a celebrity and a god-figure. Are people surprised that celebrity status doesn't make them immune from this?!...That their death defying abilities on screen will translate into real life.
He is a nice person, but he doesn't know you and your family any more than you know the average joe in a wreck on the side of the road.

From what I gathered, that was just a video of 40 random cars accelerating from a few different meets/events such as Cars & Coffee, meets that weren't actually for Paul Walker. But I agree, it is a bit ironic whoever made this video to edit it as a tribute, especially when the black CGT gunned it, I cringed.
