I've always struggled getting my car to activate the race-start feature. On another thread of mine, another member here advised me to push harder on the brake pedal, and sure enough, that did the trick. Just in case you had problems with getting your selector in the RS mode, this is worth a try, hopefully next summer I'll report some better 60' times!!
