Can't put gas in my car...WTH??!!
My car was transported across states in an enclosed trailer. I tried every Shell, Cheveron, and Mobil gas station and I cannot put gas in the car. The car was fine a week ago. The tank just spits it out or it spills out from underneath...this is so strange and its getting very annoying because I have to dribble it in a cent at a time for it to work. Any ideas and fixes?? Thanks guys...

how many miles on the car? this is most likely the problem go ahead and get a new shutoff valve while your at it. It may require an adapter harness for the updated part. Its located on the behind the fender liner of the right rear wheel.

I've never had this experience before, so I'm sure my input here is pretty much worthless, but I would imagine that an indie shop could fix it without dropping the tank.

I had the same problem with my 911 Turbo. There is a flapper valve in the filler that stays closed in case of a roll-over. Prevents gas from spilling out. The valve on my Porsche would not open and I could not fuel it.
Turned out to be a blown fuse. You may check that. Not sure if MB has the same set up, but I suspect that it does.

Could have been something the transport company disabled! I know they are very worried about the amount of gas in the cars when they transport them so who knows if they needed to disable something

could it be possible your car is on a diet?
remember, our plan is to be the two last c63 owners on this planet... the stories we'll tell while sitting in our rocking chairs...
on a semi related note... why were you transporting it? moving?

I checked with the Transport Co and they transported it as clean as a whistle. Not even moved once throughout the transport.
So I thought maybe its just pressure build up from sloshing around. So I will let her rest and I will drive off most of the remaining gas and see what happens.
Transported it due to work.
We will indeed be on those rocking chairs.....AS SOON AS IT KEEPS ITS FUEL DOWN!!

Zeph, are you moving to Dubai by any chance? Seriously, good luck with the repair... let the warranty take care of it.

Anyway Ros and Jon I already spoke to MB tech and said it was a Charcoal Canister as mentioned above. That can get clogged and air won't be able to escape. It needs to be replaced...
Dealer will fix under warranty. Thanks for all the member input guys...
