SMOG Testing in LA

Hey Fellas,

I am now living in Bakersfield Cali for the winter and need to get my plates transferred over to California, so I need to get a smog test done.

Problem is I have headers and a tune with primary cat delete

I am wondering if anyone happens to know any places in Bakersfield or LA that would be able to help me out getting a pass on my smog test? Even if that means a few extra dollars for there trouble....

There have to be a few SoCal C63's running similar setups I would think!

Please any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Even if you can pass the sniff test, CARB (California Air Resource Board) is in a big crack down on smog stations regarding the visual test. Hope you got a good PM from someone.

Had a first smog check done on another car yesterday. The visual took 30 min alone...the tech was under the front and rear of the vehicle as well as repeatedly consulting some diagram on the monitor and then looking in the engine compartment to both identify the component and trace its connection path. This despite the fact that results of 4 of the 6 tested parameters read 0, 0, 0 and 0.01.

B. time to register your cars in Nevada. Guy stuck in the ODBII into my car, looked at the gas cap, opened the hood for a 10 sec looksy and that was it.

Yessir, but that's to be expected from the state that gave us Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi.

Yeah well I profiled you and your car. You some kind of hot rodder or something?

And I’m miffed your sporty car runs so clean. :P

I was pleasantly shocked! Just trying to be a good, responsible member of society...
