Yeah, the F80 M3 in the wild.

And? Surely you didn't join just to share this, did you?

No I've been a long time member usually on CLS forum. Haven't been active in few months but I visit daily. I lost my password and because I changed my email not long ago I had to create a new account.

Oh okay. Forgive me I'm naturally suspicious of first-time posters that post BMW content.

I'm not a fan of the rear at all.

Looks too busy/aftermarket to me. Not feeling the lack of a true diffuser. No strakes.

The rear fender on the first picture is what our C63s should've looked like from the factory. Shame on you MB.

Those were my thoughts as well.

I prefer the front bumper on the M Sport F30, too. I think it actually looks more aggressive than the bumper on the F80 M3.

Who hired the Pontiac designer? What's with all the gimmicky gills and louvers and stuff. Not a clean front or rear bumper at all. Rear fenders are the only thing I like on this car...

i feel like bmw is going the way of some of the awful jap car body kit makers. It's not terrible looking but it they cleaned off all that extra crap it'd be much more tasteful. that f30 m sport bumper looks much better.

Going to be garbage just like every other BMW produced in the last 6 or so years. BMW's M division has not hit a performance homerun in years. Their answer to AMGs SLS and Audi's R8 is the i8 hybrid lol. M5's have seen nothing but E55 and E63 tailights for the past 8 years. The M3 has not been a viable option since AMG released the C63. Let's not even bring up BMW's failure to bring anything to market to compete with AMG Black Series cars in the North American market.

The i8 is an plug in eco box, not a sports car or competitor to anything except maybe a Leaf or Volt. As far as the M5, I think you have that backwards. The E60 M5s were faster than the E55s and E63s. I had one of each AMG and buddies with the E60 and they were always faster. The current M5 is faster than the E63S aside from a stop due to the awd.

Since this is the C63 forum, on a track the M3s have always eaten the C AMG alive on a road course. And with the 2012+ limp mode problems AMG has still to address the C63 is probably the worst track car money can buy right now

IMO the 1 Series M was pretty impressive,…in fact worth more than original purchase price in many cases.

all your points are valid. pardon me if I am drifting away a bit, but the other day, my wife asked me a question which i could not answer convincingly. "why are M3's more visible and outnumber the C63's on the road". i live in the bay area and i gotta be honest. for every 2-3 M3's, i see only one C63. it would be interesting to know more opinions.

The i8 is an econobox, agreed but BMW keeps touting it's performance of 4.4 0-60 lol and at $138K base price it's approaching R8 and SLS money.

Not sure what you are smoking regrding the F10 M5 being faster than an E63. I have been to five airsteip events in the past year and a half dozen euro drag event sand have seen lots of M5 vs E63 races and the M5's never win. Hell I have seen a C63 with nothing more than a tune spank an F10.

I have owned a lot of BMWs myself and I used to be a die hard BMW guy and own one of the rarest BMWs ever sold but there is a reason I purchased an AMG back in 2007 and have not looked back since. I can buy anything I want, if there was a current BMW worth owning there would be one in my collection.

They could be tuned to make some decent power but not impresive out of the box. Dont get me wrong, it is an impressive car especially at that price point but not on par with any AMG offering. AMG did not really even have an answer for the 1M, I suppose the new CLA could be considered a worthy competitor.

If you want to talk aftermarket tunability AMG is the only answer. I own the quickest and fastest AMG in the world and it runs over a full second faster in the 1/4 mile than the current worlds fastest E92 M3 and over 7/10ths faster than worlds fastest E46 M3.
