There is new post from Adangg who is seeking to buy a 2008 but is concerned about the head bolt issue. I understood that this was an issue from the onset of the C63W204 until 2011 but a few reads here suggest it was later and not so wide spread. Maybe you could reach out to him and share your knowledge of the subject. His post is Potential 2008 C63 Buyer posted 11/10/2016.

They swapped over to a new design at X engine number. That was early 2011 NA production. The only confusion here is that some other countries (mainly Europe) don't follow the same model year guidelines as NA. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_year

It's that cut and dry. The 2008 you mention is 100% affected, unless they were changed post production.

EDIT: To add a little more context. If you have a 2010 and older in NA, you for sure have the older bolt design where as a 2011 there's a slight chance. In Europe a 2011 is a crap shoot. Could be a "late" 2011 that's still affected so you need to check the VIN to be sure.

The switchover was sometime in July 2010. If you have a car with a build date (check the inside driver's door jam) before June 2010, it 100% has the old head bolts (in the US this is MY2011). If the car was built August 2010 or later, it 100% has the new headbolts. I also posted the corresponding VIN ranges somewhere on the first page or two, but people still register just to post their 2009 VIN anyway so it is what it is.

No problems at all, so basically they are not all going to brake

There was a very high mileage reported failure not that long ago. Not to be a Debbie downer, but you still have the old design that could potentially fail at some point.
