Well that solves it. An unaffected UK 2010. Although an E63 but I don't think that matters with engine allocation.

The delivery date is three months after the changeover. This potential scenario was the question in the OP and was discussed in the first couple pages of this thread. UK labels cars by year of manufacture, not model year.

Check it for what, do you want a data card?

From my understanding it would obviously be in the range with the faulty headbolts.

It seems like it would be in the range, but I heard that there are some builds that were not affected. I am just looking to verify, if possible. I'm a recent new owner, so learning as much as I can and enjoying the car.

As per the thread title, your car is affected. Keep an eye on the coolant level, and if you decide to have the headbolts replaced (I would personally), then I would have a good Indy Shop do them rather than MB.

Indeed it is. Trying to catch up on as many historic threads as possible, confirmed on being in the affected group.

No worries, you just didn't actually read this thread, or even the first couple pages and got caught.

Maybe not as easy to find but, revised OEM bolts are fine unless you're planning on adding a blower in the future, then go ARP (Weistec) studs.

looking to buy this car vin WDD2040772F429897

i know the engine is the effected range however tried the vin decoder and it didn't recognise the vin? Now I'm suspicious

any info would be appreciated
its a limited run (63 cars only) for the Australian market. Should have LSD also.special colour and sand colour leather
