Does anyone know what color this is?
Wrapping my car this weekend and wanted this color. Does anyone know if its matte charcoal like the one with the mode carbon parts? It's probably the lighting that makes me think theyre different.

yooooooo i guess i'm finding all your threads today. i wrapped my car myself, but gray's a funny color. i was like 1/3 of the way done wrapping mine in my garage and thought it looked awesome. i took it out into the sun to take pictures to send to my friends and realized that it looked almost brown under sunlight. then it also looked like straight primer instead of a nice matte gray. i ended up ordering a sample of every single gray shade they make for 3m, avery, and oracal. i looked at them all inside my garage, in the sunlight, etc at every possible angle and finally decided which shade i liked best. i still should have the samples laying around somewhere if you want to get them from me and do the same.
i think i remember the 3m looking kind of brownish in the sunlight as well. it looks great in low light though, but that just shows you that you can't really trust any of the pictures you see online.

i ended up going with a matte graphite...forgot which brand it was though.
here's a few pics so that you can see it in different lighting. it's not the same shade as the pic you originally posted, but you can see how much it changes depending on lighting.

I heard its easy, just time consuming. I know some less than crafty people that have done it. Does lack of experience show? Definitely. You can tell a half done job vs a professional install. In the long run, 3k beats a 10k paint job and you can always go back to your paint that the wraps been protecting!
