2013 v 2014 base model C63

Hi all. I'm researching C63s and trying to decide between a 2013 or 2014. Does anyone know what, if any, changes were made to the base model and/or standard equipment from 2013 to 2014.

If they were kept the same then the 2013 seems like a better deal (all other option packages being equal, of course).

Thanks!

Anyone?

The base price went up a few thousand dollars from 2013 to 2014, but was this just inflation or did they add any extra features or improvements? I've looked for a MB press release online but can't seem to find anything.

Any help? Surely someone knows something...

Thanks.

There is really no difference as far as I know. I believe the 2014's offer the 507 and the 2013's have the regular p31 pp. I would go with a 2013 they have huge discounts on them my dealer took off 12k from the out the door price. 2013 2014 you can't go wrong with either one good luck man and I hope you enjoy the ride

Thanks newtrita. Was yours a CPO? I'm seeing both new and CPO 2013s listed. I'm willing to wait to see what kind of deal I can get on a 2014, but if they are basically the same car, I might as well buy now.

Right now is a good time to buy a lot of dealers are trying to move their cars so might aswell. The car I was talking about was a 2013 brand new one. Good luck and post pics :vroom:

I believe, as already stated, the only difference is that Mercedes dropped the P31 package and replaced it with the P61 package (507). I would have picked up a '13, but I was very specific in what I wanted, so I ended up having one built for me.

In Brazil there are a few changes. Parkguidance advanced became standard in 2014, and LSD as well for any model.

507 package was only real difference. Might be a change in color options, but I don't even think there was that.

Think MB raised price of 2014's because of 1) inflation and 2) last year of this gen.
Higher price early to catch everyone jumping on the last year of the 6.3 and less "loss" later on when prices drop as others are wait/want the next gen.

Thanks all! Seemed like 507 package was only real difference.

So...

I put a deposit down on a 2013 CPO today. Leather, CF Trim, Lighting, Multimedia, a few other bells and whistles. Tint is the only mod I plan on for now. Then wheels. Then...

Need to have it shipped. Anyone have any experience with carriers? Especially bad ones to stay away from. Open air or enclosed?

Any recommendations on independent shops in LA area that are reputable? Preferably on the westside or in the valley?

Thanks for any help/advice. I really appreciate reading everyone's comments.

Depends on where the car is coming from, but in the winter I would use an enclosed carrier.
