Question on 2012+ interior
That being said, I'd be looking to trade both my RS4 and C63 for a facelift C63. I'd like to spend in the neighborhood of 50-55k. I just can't get over the sound the AMG makes and would be very happy spending less than the $1200/mo that I do on cars. My mortgage is that much...
Anywho, to the point, I've been looking high and low and I have come across so many C63's that have that 2-textured seating. It's like alcantara with leather on the sides and a nicer cloth in the middle.
Do a lot of you have that? For me, I prefer the full leather. I also see seats like my 09 in some, then seats like mine just with cloth centers, and then I see something completely different in some coupes that have both full leather as well as cloth/leather.
I guess the question is, why so many variations? And, what does it do to the value? I assume full leather is more desirable and drives the price up some but not entirely sure.
Thoughts?
Not sure but I'd guess the leather would help value if you can keep it in top shape. Supposedly the MB-TEX/DYNAMICA option holds up better over time so it may be more desirable for some. I prefer it since it can handle small children better.

Don't get me wrong, not saying I hate the mb-tex just saying I prefer the leather. Also, no kids, no wife, just two dogs and I can just get cheap little rear seat protection hammocks for them which have worked well for me.
I just brought it up because I never really see that type of interior on here. I usually see full leather or over-the-top awesomesauce like andrewc63.
Thanks for the input, may the search continue..

I love it. The DINAMICA (synthetic alcantara) looks very sporty, in my opinion. Furthermore, it is very comfortable and breathable.
Plus, my interior still looks brand new . . .

The 507 gets the best combination, in my opinion: DINAMICA and leather (in lieu of MB-Tex).

In the end I found a car that had everything I wanted, including the LSD (which is an even rarer option than full leather), but had the MB-Tex. I bought it anyway and honestly I don't mind it at all. People comment on how nice the suede (or whatever material it is) inserts look. Two tone would have been ideal, but when searching for a used car you'll likely have to compromise somewhere.
I suppose the leather seats shouldn't be as much of a contributing factor as I am making them.

I would have gladly taken a car with leather as well but IMHO, you cannot go wrong with either choice. Best of luck.
