OE MB Trickle Charger or can I use any charger?
I'm looking to keep my battery charged with a battery charger/starter with 2 and 10 AMP charging options that I've always used before I got my C63. Typically I would use 2 AMPs trickle charging to keep my car batteries charged while I'm away for a long period of time but does MB cars require a special one made for these cars? I'm afraid the electronics are sensitive and screw something up. Anything special about the OE MB Trickle Charger?

Thank you!

This is what you want…a low-output (.75 amp) float charger perfect for extended connection.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
I've got a C tek charger, with an attachment for charging through the cig lighter, but I don't think it's live in the C63 with the ignition off, so can't be done.
Consequently you guys must charge directly via leads to the battery in the boot? Do you leave the leads on & just connect the charger via the plug from these leads, or attach leads to the battery every time you charge it?
Do you have the boot shut during charging?
Cheers, Pickles.

^ Look under the hood, left side. You should see a ground post on the inside fender well and a vertical flat plate under a sliding red cover (positive connector). Those are your front battery terminals for purposes of charging.
