Thanks for the critique guys. I really like the wheels and will work on improving the way my car looks on them - finally a new challenge for me.
On the HREs it way to easy - everyone loved them from the start

I am actually pleasantly surprised about the quality and fitment because after hearing so many stories about ADV.1, I wasn't sure if it was a right move to get these wheels.

Hey Matt,
I like your new rims but I don't dig the finish.

I think they would come out better in glossy black with polished lugs on your C

EDIT: shopped it for you

Thanks Dome for the photochop
It looks very aggressive but black wheels tend to look smaller than silver or gunmetal and seeing how small they look now, I'm not sure they would work in black.

Looking great Matt, I guess you wont use my HRE stickers afterall... stick them on your snow blower. LOL

I like the brushed tinted finish, not so much the black finish.. so keep them as is.

As for fitment, you should thanks Richard cuz these wheels were assembled wrong at first... it took him few months to get them right. :P

Meng, I tried contacting Richard to thank him and ask about a bent barrell in one of the front wheels but he never responded.

I'll keep the finish on the wheels as is and will try working my way around the wheels to create a new look for the car.
If it doesn't work out, i'm going back to the HREs so I'll hold on to the stickers for now

I think I'm in love with this car. How did you get the tail lights all red? Is it a vinyl overlay?

Thanks vtune.
Yes, it's red transparent vinyl from Oracal.

Yeah, the weather is very strange. But we are supposed to get snow this week.
It's been very rainy and windy winter so far. I'd rather get snow

Matt! Like the ADV1s but love the HREs.
The HREs are very sexy librarian while the ADV1s are slutty VIP club girl.

I can see I am among the minority...
ADV's look way better! I liked the HRE, only because they looked a bit taller due to spoke design, and lets face it, they were HRE's. if they were a knock off, everybody would be drooling over the ADV's!
I for one think the ADV provides a lot more character than the HRE wheel.
Step lip FTW! Only thing I would have done diff is gone with 20".
Nicely done op! Love it!

Yes, you are among the few who like the wheels
Thanks.

I bought the wheels second-hand so I couldn't choose sizes. But on 20s I wouldn't be able to drop the car the way I want.
I'll experiment with some painted calipers, narrower tires and spacers to make this setup look just right.

Those ADV wheels look great. In my opinion, it was a good move. Step lips look great on the your estate and C63s in general. It goes well with the muscle car look and the monster under the hood.

Thanks Thrilla, I like the new wheels as well, but I found out what the main problem is.
Because the wheels have a sandwich mount - that is the face of the wheel is between the lip and the barrell - they appear even smaller.
If I could rebuild them as to place the face on top of the lip, they would look much better. But according to ADV.1, it's not possible with the Trackfunction series.

All 3 pcs wheels have a "sandwich mount" like u describe.

For step lips wheels, the centers are always 1 inch smaller so not much u can do about it but to order 19inch face (ur current faces are 18's).

The reason why I would take monoblocks over 3 pcs wheels is by experiences with many multi-pcs they will leak soon or later from the silicone between the inners & outers.

Edit: if u order 19 inch centers, u will need reverse lips in 19's as ur 19's step lip won't work. Basically, in my opinion, if u want a nice look with step lip, our cars needs at least 20 inch.

Spring came early
10mm spacer installed up front.
Red lug-nut caps in place.

Planning on installing a 5mm spacer in the rear because I'm not happy with the fitment
