Worth getting a ramspeed cai?

Just wondering if it's worth buying a Ramspeed Carbon Cold Air Intake?

I'm currently running stock intake with k&n filters.

Will it be louder and more responsive with the Ramspeed & K&N's?

I'm looking for some more Low/Mid Range power and some more grunt/sound.. Will i achieve this with the Ramspeed?

Intakes have little to offer unless you are pushing the boundaries. Spend the money on a tune and save many $$$.

In my opinion, it would not be worth the money to go for this upgrade.

Long tube headers + a new tune.

I have one from gruppe m and its difficult to notice improvement with a butt dyno. Looks great Akers accessing the oil filler cap a total pain in the ****. Oce you have done tune your best bit is start modding exhaust. Get rid of resonator and secondary cats first, you will notice that, as will everyone you drive past!

Our stock air boxes are engineered fairly well!

No need to change them out, perhaps a pair of aftermarket filters like AFE / K & N and a charcoal filter removal is all you need.

As you have a tune, the exhaust is the next logical step if power and noise are what you are chasing.

I suspect the Ramspeed intake cost would be a nice start towards new wheels?

As other people said it looks great but can't really tell the difference in power.

There is a guy who is selling the same CAI on eBay, he is located in Sydney and probably alot cheaper than Ramspeed.

A custom tune will help you extract the most performance out of your engine after installing the headers.

So you don't "need it" per se. But it wouldn't make much sense to skip it either.

Well my car has a tune already but I might go for a retune, thinking about taking it to evolve here in Melbourne.

Maybe do a primary cat delete and long tube headers if i can find a good cheap set.

Any other mods you guys can recommend?

I want to get it done in the next week. Really eager to delete primary cats and get an aggressive tune.

I think the only airbox that makes power is the RennTech units.

Maybe try getting Euro airboxes.

Do not do a primary cat delete especially if doing long tubes, not only will your car stink literally but the noise will be beyond offensive for a daily driver and your neighbours will literally want you dead. Secondary cats and resonator is ample

Yeah i think you're right.

I've owned cars previously with straight pipes etc and they do stink and they do drone. Also, it'd prob do my head in after a while.

I like my car because it's subtle when you're cruising yet screams once you put your foot down.

I'm just looking for a new mod, something that will give me some more response and low/mid range power.

My car has a lot of modifications but ive stayed away from long tube headers to retain the C63 sound.

LOL Someone mentioned pedalbox/sprintbooster for the response. But i think that is just like pressing the sport button on M3's and stuff. It makes the throttle response sharper.

I wanted a CAI but everyone is saying to save my money. So i don't know... maybe go more aggressive with the tune?
