Thanks, I'm getting there. Most of the parts should be arriving next week, so I should be 95% done shortly.

I'm in Birmingham, AL and have a hood, grill, fenders, headlights, oil cooler, secondary oil cooler with fan, tranny cooler, and more odd and ends. Ive acquired all this doing a full oem Black Series body and facelift conversion on a 10' C63. Let me know If you need any of it.

Almost done....just waiting on the left black fender from Germany (found a stock aluminum fender in black on eBay Germany) and black hood (from blown63, a forum member here). Can't wait to put this thing together. Total amount spent.....$4800 (which will include the cracked windshield replacement)

And the icing on the cake is the pink slip arrived, and it's a clean titled car

I had another forum member (Groves73) check for me...clean bill of health.

The next step for me is trying to get a hold of the previous owner and getting the extended warranty over in my name. When I went to the dealership, they said it's good til May 2017

Does anyone know how to get the warranty transferred without the previous owners involvement? I'm guessing he may want some $$$ from me since he paid for that extended warranty, and Mercedes won't just transfer it without his consent.

The previous owner is a business owner, and when I tried to get in touch with him (his business), one of his employees wouldn't patch me through, and was a little rude as well. My guess is that the owner told him that he didn't want anything to do with this car (I previously left a message, and got a live person on the second attempt).

That is really some great work Vlad!!
As for the extended warranty I doubt the previous owner would went $$$. He paid for it but probably got paid by the insurance too !!
If he is honest he will give MB the authorization to transfer i think.

By the way how did you get that carfax? You need a membership of something?

Send a PM to Groves73. He posted on this forum that he bought a 5 pack of Vin checks from Carfax and only used one. He may have run out by now since I'm sure there were more people pinging him since me.

So I've been done for some time now, and have been really enjoying the car. I ran into a bit of a snag with a hood purchase because the hood arrived damaged, but George (blown63) was top notch in resolving the issue with the shipping insurance company. I still need to get the hood repaired, but I think rather than painting it, I'm going to get it wrapped in vinyl carbon. I did the grill wrap myself, but will probably resort to a pro wrapper for the hood. If anyone knows somebody local here in the bay, please let me know.

Just wanted to post some quick picks.

Also, I was able to get a hold of the original owner, who signed over the extended warranty to me, so now I'm covered until April 2017...... wooohooooo!!!!

That's great news man Congrats on the warranty.

But please don't wrap the hood in CF vinyl. It's going to look tacky.
Keep it clean and paint it body color

I agree with Matt, paint over the damage vs CF wrap for sure.

I'm going to paint over the damaged area for now. The wrap is $200 vs $1000 plus for the paint job. The paint overall is pretty presentable as it is now. I can always peel the wrap off later on, my wallet will just be $200 lighter.

The corners were damaged during the shipment, so it's a little more than just a respray.

Been enjoying the car for some time now. Finally got around to wrapping the hood with 4D carbon fiber. This took care of the scuffed up finish and corners on the hood that I had to repair. I think it compliments the car pretty good. All for $40 in material and $85 for the labor.

I also just ordered the V5 tune from Eurocharged. Can't wait to get it....
