More power from deleting resonator?

So I have the mbh headers and swapped my h pipe (which I loved) for mbh 3" mids and x pipe.

I didn't notice any change in power at all. Just sound....mellowed it out a bit.

I then had my resonator (which has a factory built in h) cut out and replaced with 3" straight pipes.

There is a noticeable power difference here.
Anybody else notice this?

Butt dyno?
It's making sense since you go from a 2.5" resonator to a 3" straight hence better flow

No additional power. Resonator is completely flow through. You'll just get a less deeper rumble and more raspyness. If you want additional power delete the secondary cats. Or course the best power bang for the buck is a flash.

I personally think the optimism set up is: headers, sport cats in place of primaries, delete secondaries and leave or increase size of resonators to keep sound down then after market mufflers can the AMG ones sound to trumpet like with headers

Resonator is straight through with a small cross over, all in your head.

Even if you gained 10hp there is no way u could feel it.

Love to do it that way but visual smog inspection in California is brutal. You'd have to put all the stock stuff back on every two years to pass.

I also had MBH headers with MBH x pipe and the car hauled *** ! I then added agency power cat back which is 2.75" mandrel bent with no kinks and smooth flow and the car def got faster on the top end after 5K. I'm still going down from 3.0 to 2.75 but it's much better then the stock 2.5. The problem with the stock exhaust is the kinks where it reduces To way below 2.5 and that kills flow if get mandrel bent pipes with no kinks I 100% believe you felt a difference in power especially top end now finish off the rest with 3" out and she'll rip. I just added revozport front intake scoops, carbonio air box and renntech 82mm throttle bodies and she is a demon uptop and pulls like a freight train ! More air in more air out = power !!!
