Sounds pretty fast comparing to the competition! Too bad MB don't offer a RWD versions anymore.

I am looking forward to everyone replacing the silly air suspension bags in 5 years.
Why is Mercedes continuing to push/force this technology... At least have an upgrade for using magnetic ride control instead.

Not necessarily. There has been quite a lot of speculation that the C63 will remain RWD. Which makes sense, as it is a direct competitor to the RWD M3.

I think the speculation has only been coming from the forums. The writing is on the wall.
They increase their performance numbers drastically by adding 4MATIC, and that will generate positive reviews in the all the magazines and keep AMG on top of the hill.
Every car maker wants that sub 4 second 0-60 and 4MATIC puts them deep in the 3's. Plus it makes the insane power safer and more usable for 90% of the drivers.
I keep saying.....why can't they innovate and create a USER-SELECTABLE 4MATIC. Turn it on off and use it when you want it. Bad weather or want more traction = turn it on. Wanna be a hoon = 4MATIC OFF
Next Gen active diff.

The W204 is already in the sub-4 second range.
Car and Driver got a best of 3.7 with the "standard" (i.e., non-507, non-BS) car. And they were able to hit 3.9 consistently by using the MCT's launch control feature.
"Our best time—0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds—came without making use of the 'race start' launch-control setting. Use launch control, and you get a very repeatable 0-to-60 time of 3.9 seconds, but we were able to beat that with a gentle foot and less wheelspin." Car & Driver
More power and lighter weight will also assure a faster car.
The fact is that there is nothing definitive yet regarding whether the W205 will be RWD or 4MATIC.

I am on the fence as far as the exterior is concerned. I hope the AMG version will look significantly different than the non-AMG one, unlike CLA, whose design differences are limited to quad exhaust and little details here and there.
yup...in bay area as well, i see only mostly women driving the C class.

I see a lot of men driving them in the East Bay...weird...one thing is for sure...it isn't as much of a chick's car as a Lexus IS and doesn't come with a tampon in the first aid kit like an Infiniti

The RWD M3 is on the top of the hill. I can't think of a single major car magazine test right now in which the W204 C63 beat out the E9X M3 (all-around, that is).

M3 doesn't exist anymore and neither will the W204 in a couple of months....the M4 with its lightweight and launch control will likely best the numbers from C&D. With more HP and small rear tires, it would be tough to make the W205 quicker without traction aid. 4MATIC gives them harder launches and more control with more power.
I never said my answer was definitive....I was just acknowledging the direction of the industry. AMG heads have repeatedly touted the new performance 4MATIC as the standard moving forward. All the new AMG's within the last year have been 4MATIC - A45/CLA45/GLA45/E63/CLS63/ML63/GL63/S63. Only the 2 doors have been the exception, but they haven't been refreshed recently.
Just sayin....
