yep, they said all along the M3 would be the sedan and M4 the coupe. Pretty sure the c63 AMG will be 4MATIC, too. But I guess it's possible it could be optional in some parts of the world.

My point was that the M3 coupe does not exist anymore, as it was King of the Hill.

M3 Sedan was never considered superior to the C63 Sedan

I don't understand that logic. Minus 2 doors and a carbon fiber roof there is really no difference between the 2. How can the coupe be superior and the sedan not?

Read the reviews...different dynamics...the sedan is longer, taller and heavier

I never said my answer was definitive....I was just acknowledging the direction of the industry. AMG heads have repeatedly touted the new performance 4MATIC as the standard moving forward. All the new AMG's within the last year have been 4MATIC - A45/CLA45/GLA45/E63/CLS63/ML63/GL63/S63. Only the 2 doors have been the exception, but they haven't been refreshed recently.

Just sayin....
I respect your opinion. Both of us have a shot at being right. (Also the M3 still does exist but I see that has already been addressed.)

I think it will be easy to make the new C63 faster since it will: A) Have more power; B) Be at least 250-300 lbs lighter; and C) Likely will have wider rear tires.

I just don't see why you think the new M3 will be faster. The new F80 M3 is supposed to hit 60 in 3.9 seconds with the DCT.

The W204 already hits that with the MCT and Race Start, despite being fatter (heavier) and having skinnier tires on every corner.

I've read the reviews. I can't find a single review where the C63 Sedan beats out the M3 Sedan (even the LCI model). Can you show me one?

The '12+ C63 is currently faster around the 'ring than the E9X M3 by a few seconds. But that's about it.

The M3 sedan has proven to be faster than the old E92 M3 coupe anyway. Something about greater structural rigidity.

Actually the coupe is longer, there really is not much difference in height and according to road test they weigh the same. I think you need a refresher on the reviews.

Thanks for the advice...I just did a refresher....

C'mon man. We all know that the C63 is objectively faster with respect to a few of the straight line speed measurements (although the skidpad and slalom numbers were refreshing) but the bottom line in all the various reviews has been the same: the M3 retained the throne in the battle of the E9X and W204.

Another source pointing to a RWD W205 C63:

“Don’t necessarily expect the C-Class AMG to have four-wheel drive like the E63 AMG does.” - An AMG employee

Right about now I don't care if it's going to be RWD or AWD...I will be ordering one whenever it becomes available.

RWD confirmed by Chris Harris via Tobias Moers (AMG Product Chief):

http://www.pistonheads.com/roadtests...p?c=26&i=29205

"I had a little chat with Tobias. He confirmed the next C63 is forced induction, but also mentioned eight cylinders. He also confirmed it would be two-wheel drive and have the electronic LSD seen on the SLS Black Series. Sounds like a complete weapon."

Agree on the Nav screen. The CLA is like this and looks pretty bad, like you velcroed an iPad to your dash in a place it was not suppose to be.

That's awesome if its true....I hope it's not just in reference to UK spec cars....as you can get a 2014 E63 rear drive in that market

I spent quite a bit of time in the new C as well as the CLA/GLA this week. I couldn't get used to the iPad screen on the CLA or GLA, everytime I looked over it looked out of place. In the new C, I didn't notice it to be annoying at all within 5 mins. Looking closer at the designs, the CLA screen was thicker and further away from the dash, while the new C screen was thinner. That was enough to make the C screen feel integrated from the drivers seat.
