cost to add LSD?
I've been shopping around for a use C63 AMG atm however none of them have P30/P31 package with LSD... Just wondering how much would the labor + parts cost to add it after?
Also whats the maintenance difference on C63 compared to a regular C300? I do oil change every 15,000 miles and transmission every 39,000 miles on my c300.
Thanks!

One maintenance difference is that it's going to be more expensive on the C63.
For example, parts like brake rotors will cost more on the C63.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help but I still only have about 2k miles on my '13.
Good luck.

LSD + install will probably be at 900$ (LSD kit) + 500-700$ (install)
Maintenance will be more expensive obviously compared to the C300. Oil change is recommended to be every 5000 miles. Transmission service would be the same.
Most of the maintenance is DYI-able so you could save a little money if you are on the budget or if you just like to mess with cars.

^^^^ HaHa... not really as it should help reduce spinning the rear wheels. In reality it might...lol. Tire usage will depend on you and your right foot.
Expect in the range of 8000km - 12000km for the rears and double for the front.

I will be using th car as a daily and it snows a lot where I live. Would LSD make winter driving better or worse?

Having an LSD in pretty much any car will accelerate (no pun) rear tire wear. However, the "pros" far outweigh the "cons" when it comes to having the LSD.
I would never call the C63 a winter weather "friendly" car, but having a LSD will help.

As for tires life I agree it really depends on your driving style. I put 6000 miles on the PSS wrapping my OEM 18" before i switched to 19" and i still have life left in them. I drive the car daily, not much snow here in Louisiana but i do not spin my wheels at every single traffic light/stop

Ok I will definitely install a LSD on my car! Ive been driving my 09 c300 rwd in through some heavy snow. I wasn't expecting it to be at the audi level but if it does the same as my c300 im happy xD

I do not want to scare you but the drivibility of the c300 rwd has nothing to do with the c63 rwd. My advice: learn the car first.

The dynamics of driving your c300 and C63 should be relatively similar, other than the increase in power. Just make sure to get snow tires, as your summer tires are just hockey pucks in the cold and snow. It doesn't matter what car you drive in the snow, learning to be gentle on the gas and brake pedals and having snow tires is the 2 most important things you'll need.
