I finally got back from picking up my new 507. I have to say that the car is absolutely beautiful. Has such a mean hold to the road, much different than the regular C. Coming from having a couple c300's and always had the notion that their was not much different other than the engine, I've realized this is a completely different car from a regular c class. And after having 2 sedans the coupe is a nice change.

The level of detail they put in to the 507 is perfect. I ordered this car in August so like everyone else was long over due from being ready to take delivery. I was also one that was undecided to wait for the next years model or not, More than happy I didn't and get to have this car as my DD. I was also undecided about the racing lines, but after seeing the car in person, they have grown on me and are definitely staying.

I have to say, that if anyone has the chance to purchase through EDP, it's well worth it, especially purchasing an AMG. They treated me like royalty while I was there, anything I wanted or needed, they handled. AMG has it's own delivery section, so you have a nice private area to sit and relax and enjoy the car in front, I attached some pics from the pick up. The car is presented to you under a cloth which is kinda sweet, they have expresso served to us sitting viewing the car, which was really nice, since I took a red eye from NJ and went right there. It was also pretty cool seeing the unique models they have on display. I attached pics of the e63 estate.

The tour they gave us was of the final production of the C Class. It is remarkable to see the cars built. Every car on the line is different and is basically built to order. All in all it was a great experience and highly recommended. Now I wait another 4-5 weeks to have the car back in the states.

Congrats.
Did you drive it around in Germany anywhere - I understand the EDP provides for 15 days liability insurance ?
Ordered in AUG13 was factory finished in FEB14 ?
Sindelfingen or Bremen ?
Sorry for all the questions - I am about to pull the trigger on a 507 if I can still get availability to my dealer in Canada.
Thank you.

Yea no worries,

I drove from Sindelfingen to Frankfurt and dropped off the same day, but had access to 15 days insurance, they said dropping off in Gernamy as opposed to other countries in Europe would be faster, so it was about a 2 hour drive to Frankfurt down the Autobahn. I used BLG Logistics and ETD on the tracking service says February 18th.

I am not sure where final production was. I do know that there were amg models of the C in the production line with the other C Class models at the Sindelfingen plant that I saw. And our tour guide said they switch production in March to 2015 models at Sindelfingen.

That's correct, ordered last week of August, was originally supposed to have a delivery in December, but the dealership f'd up the order and 30 days later from my order request, I found they never actually got a December allocation, so it was pushed to February.

Awesome ! Too bad in Canada you have to pay the car cash (yes, cash) to be able to apply for European Delivery. Leasing or financing won't work unless you use an external financing institution, which is a shame

Don't think so. The wagons are not built for NA delivery and are not cleared for safety or EPA requirements.
