Can you make AMG screen the default on C63?
In the gauge cluster display, it reverts to the odometer every time I restart the car. Since that's the least important thing I need to see I would like to know if there is a way to change the default to the AMG screen for oil and water temps. I did do a search but didn't have much look. By the way, I have a 2009 C63.

Our 09 TPMS does not have digital display for the tires pressure reading as well

At least the 08/09's were able to upgrade to the newer tail lights while people were still reprogramming the SAM's

Whoa Whoa Whoa. Hold up.
You guys don't all have folding mirrors? In a Mercedes? Ive had 08 and an 09 and I thought everybody had the folders.......maybe just in Canada?
That can be controlled under convenience in your instrument cluster. Could that be it? And if not, please tell me you get the tilting mirror for parking. On both sides. I would have to just valet all the time other wise. I mean, I can hit the parallel first time every time but without that Id be all over the place.

starting in 2010, they had the feature where it would stay on the screen you left off of... driving mode selection doesn't save.... it always reverts back to C... tpms display is better in the 10...
i had an 09 and now a 10 so i noticed a lot of differences...
and i wish i had folding mirrors on either of those...
so to answer the OP's question... the '09 will not do it afaik... i don't think even a software update can do it...

Diabolis and jarjoug, you guys have the mirrors but you're both Canook like me. I know we dont have TPMS on our cars, I guess this is just another difference. Kinda a weird one tho.
My display always reverts back, but my tranny always stay in Sport.

Mine has the discrete TPMS (it's part of the APX package in 2013), but the tranny does default back to C every time I start the car.

Discrete as in separate or individual. My 2013 with the APX Performance Package has individual TPMS sensors in every wheel, and I can see a PSI reading for every wheel if I select it in the menu. I don't know what year your car is or if you have the performance pack, but the rest use the ABS sensors to detect when a wheel is spinning faster than the rest (a flat or deflated wheel has a smaller diameter) and throw a warning. AFAIK they made this change on the 2012+ LCI cars with the APX PP.

Interesting. I wondered how they did that but of course the ABS makes perfect sense.
I have an 09 with the performance pack which is a little different in that it doesnt have the 30 extra hp (I have a tune anyways) but it does come with LSD and stiffer springs.
Thanks for the info. Learned my thing for the day...now I can watch action movies for the rest of the day
