the sl65 black would be a cool addition. but short of trying to make it a mile car or something along those lines. It really doesnt do anything particularly well other than look amazing. Having 1st hand experience it's very special with tons of changes all over the car from a regular sl65- alot more than i expected, but it's still too heavy and cant get any traction until around 80mph.
it's badass to see such rare cars next to eachother. And lets be realistic 2800hp is a bit of a sand bag. more like 2800whp
The sls transmission is by far the best part of the car in comparison to the rest of the amg line up, combine that with the dry sump, carbon brakes and exetreme rarity, it's an easy winner

If I come across a clean, well priced black SL65 BS I will probably ****** it up. I think my hp estimate is pretty accurate. CLK make 1200 crank, just over 1000 wheel, C makes 850-900 crank 790 wheel and the SLS is the wimp of the bunch, detuned to about 725whp becuase the DCT trans can not handle any more than that.
DCT can't handle all that power? what's all the hype about then..guys trash talk MCT and the 7G all day long and suck DCTs ****..but it can't even handle high HP?

DCT has lightening fast, crisp precise shifts that react to the paddle shifter input almost imediately, no delay like what you see with the tc or mct systems. The clutches in the DCT are the weak link. Weistec has been developing a fix for the clutches that should allow them to handle an extra 150-200whp, when that happens look out, the SLS BS with its dry sump, higher reving motor and free flowing heads will be laying down 900 @ the wheels but until then the SLS is the lowest hp rated car of the three.

It's an automatic but with a single wet clutch instead of a torque converter. I suspect the MCT refers to this clutch and the planetary gearset bands/clutches that are present in every automatic.

J/KAwesome collection! Still most impressed with how the m156/MCT in the c63bs can handle 790 whp on a completely stock motor and trans ! That's just crazy the MCT is a brick **** house !!! So all your running is a higher boost pulley / TCU Valve body upgrade to get to that power level? Must feel strong with that power and the fast shifts of the tuned MCT !
