Red light under rear view mirror?
I have a '12 coupe. The bottom of the rearview mirror has 3 buttons for garage door openers. To the right of these buttons is a red light that - just barely noticeably - shines down toward the gearshift lever. Anyone know what this is?
Yeah, if its what im thinking (centre of the mirror) its just to lightly illuminate the cabin.
if its a really small light, that might be for setting up the garage remote, as confirmation of learning/ using it.

Off topic, I love both of your cars mate!! The multispokes on the E63 is sweet, and your ML63 is wicked, I love that gen more than the new gen.
I miss the E63. Was a great all rounder that car.I will post some pics up of it later.
I love the C63 with those multispokes (like yours). One of the nicest designed wheels from Benz. I still have stock 18's on mine, but when the rubber runs out, i will most probably get a set of the multispoke 19s for the C63 too.

The red (or perhaps amber) one is to the RIGHT of the 3 door-remote buttons. It could be for night-time ambient lighting, but the dash gives off way more light than this thing does.

There's another little bulb just to the LEFT of the garage door buttons. That's the one for confirming the remote setup. The red (or perhaps amber) one is to the RIGHT of the 3 door-remote buttons.
