Does anyone know if the SLS style grill on the website for the w204 can be modified to fit our C63s? I know that a fellow member said that he modified a generic w204 grill to fit his C63. He modified the tabs and I wonder if we just need to modify the tabs on the SLS style grill.

If the SLS type grille (or any other style for that matter) is meant to fit the facelift c63 then it is most likely going to be modding the tabs that's needed. However, if they are meant to fit the non AMG w204's then perhaps there might be more needed as I understand the front end is a little wider on AMG's than regular C class?

Thought I'd post some pics for you guys. Got mine yesterday and installed it.
Fitment is pretty good for an aftermarket part but just a little off in this corner as you can see.
This side is good

For those of you interested, i bought mine from
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/370978322...84.m1439.l2649
Although it says Canada in the eBay, the DHL Package arrived from Taiwan.
The shipping was FAST (2 days to Sydney, Australia)
Fitment took me all of 3 minutes. Literally. Very very easy.
Pics for your reference.
Fitment was excellent.
FYI- for you weight saving guys, factory FPL grille is heavy, compared to this one. So if you are emptying your tissue box, or running your washer fluid dry at the strip, then this grille is for you.

I've removed my grill 3 times and tried aftermarket stuff (all I didnt like except for the 55tech). Once you remove the two pushpins from the top just start applying pressure to the very bottom center of the grill with both thumbs. Eventually they will give way and you can pull the grill straight out the top.
55tech fits great and looks awesome! I'm debating vinyl'ing or painting it black.

Put mine on. I originally planned to plastidip the outer chrome keeping the star and the center fin chrome. But I think it looks good as is. Maybe plastidip later. The front nose looks much more aggressive with the single fin and larger star imo. Happy buyer.

Damn, i may plastidip mine now, just like you have.
It really makes the star "pop".
I will also be fitting distronic star soon. (Flat star).
I will post pics of that.
Looks awesome IMO
