I wanted to try matte black to match the lower bumper grill color and it actually looks pretty good in person. Since it's plasti dipped, I can have it removed anytime to have a bodyshop paint it gloss black or attempt the plasti dip glossifier to give it a shine. :-)

Yes? And? If you look through those vents in the wheel well, you'll see an oil cooler. The air has to exit/be vented after it reaches the oil cooler as that is part of the entire process. You don't want the air to come in through the front air vent and then just be trapped.

Haha I just appreciated the backup.

That's where the oil cooler was located on my prior turbocharged Bimmers as well.

Thank you!. This gave me the motivation to go wrap my grill. The vinyl has been in the garage for a month.

Looks really nice! Did the grill come with the trim piece that attaches to the bottom lip of the hood?

How did you get it so cheap? I paid $199 including shipping ($169 plus $30 shipping) to the US.

I am not sure...the ebay listing is $169 or something I believe? The ad stated that the seller didn't ship to Canada, so I just messaged him asking if he would. We didn't go through ebay and he sent me a Paypal invoice of $175 including shipping. Until then, I was contemplating if I wanted to get one but at that price, I couldn't resist. Got a DHL shipping notification this morning, the guy is fast. The seller is based out of BC and if I didn't live in Alberta, I'd just go and pick it up in person. lol.

Your luck sucks bud. First the JBSPEED debacle and now this. Hopefully you get it fixed and switched soon.

I am hoping that I get my grille pretty soon here so I can install and take pictures for you guys.

Thought I'd post some pics for you guys. Got mine yesterday and installed it.

Fitment is pretty good for an aftermarket part but just a little off in this corner as you can see.

This side is good

Looks great! Mine will look exactly like yours since we have the same color. Was removing the lower portion of the grille easy? Mine wouldn't budge.

That looks great! Any way to bend the driver side a little to close that gap?

The trick is to get one hand inside and locate the car tabs with your fingers and gently push them through. Other than that, you might have to do some yanking and stuff as well. I broke my OEM grille a little bit (just one of the fin's came lose) trying to remove it.

Not really. I tried everything and that's just how it fits. You just have to come to terms with the fact that it is in aftermarket part and it isn't going to have as good of a fitment. It doesn't look bad at all and to a naked eye or someone who has no idea it's aftermarket, it wouldn't look odd or anything.

I hear you. Doesn't really bother me from the pictures. And i plan to plastidip the outer chrome all the way around, so it might look even less visible.
