can you tell if a car has the development package by the v.i.n. number ?
looking at some used c63's and some of the sellers dont describe the options well. new to this, thanks

If the seller has good photos, look for red brake calipers, a black rear spoiler and an alcantera-covered steering wheel. None of those is a sure bet, but they're all pretty good indicators. More importantly, if any of them are absent, it is certainly NOT a car with the development package.

+1. Lots of used car dealers don't even know what they've got. The best way to confirm is to do a VIN check as it will list the development package as an option. You can get free access yourself (works only for US models) or ask for help here on the site.
