So if you have the updated TCU map installed by the dealer, as long as the dealer doesn't rewrite the ECU mapping, you shouldn't have to reinstall the EC tune correct?
If the dealer does overwrite your EC ECU tune and applies the TCU update, when you reinstall the EC tune, it will not affect the updated TCU map right?

IF the dealer does update your ECU software to a newer version, you will need to send us that file and have a new one created to store on the mygenious. If you try to write the tune file that is made for a different version of the software (older) you risk the car not being able to start and will have to send us the ecu to fix. (downtime)

A better question is: If we get the car back from the dealer after the TCU flash, how can we tell if they reflashed the car with an updated ECU tune or if it still has the Eurocharged tune? Just by the perceived difference in power delivery or can we use the mygenius device to find out? After all it will be hard to tell with the tranny behaving differently.
And second question, isn't it advisable to go back to the stock tune before bringing it to the dealer to potentially avoid possible warranty flagging? Awaiting EC's reply.
