Weistec vs Eurocharged
I finally picked up some MHP headers (please spare me the MHP vs MBH holy war), and will be installing them soon. I've been doing some research on a tune to go with the header install, and I'm not really sure which to go with (yes, I've also searched the forums and read through many threads regarding the "best tune").
From what I can tell, a Weistec tune would require me to ship them my ECU, and have them create a custom tune from the data on there. Whereas the Eurocharged tune is more or less a packaged one-size-fits-all tune that you flash yourself with a handheld programmer. Is this correct? Is there a significant/noticeable difference between these two? I like the idea of being able to flash back to stock if I need to with the EuroCharged handheld, but if I can get substantially more performance from a Weistec tune, then perhaps I should go with that.
Any feedback or input would be greatly appreciated

From what I understand, you probably will not achieve anymore noticeable power with weistec. The pros fo ra bench tune are supposedly they are able to remap some other areas of the ecu with a bench tune, to make it safer to run and, well I really don't know enough to speak on it, but it is supposedly a more thorough tune.
I for one wouldn't change my tune as I have had zero issues with the EC and the performance output is incredible.
I don't think you can go wrong either way op.
Happy modding!

^ I agree. I believe Weistec/bench tune is able to modify more parameters and thus make it more custom-tailores to each specific ECU. And most likely safer.
I have a handheld tune and every once in a while when I push the car too aggressively, it will go into limp mode. However, with the stock file, pushing it hard will not cause limp mode. I'm not saying the tune file is bad, but I believe a more customized tune may have given me more stability.

My advice is to compare price and customer relationship. You're not doing anything ground breaking in terms of whats been done before so all tunes will be pretty much equal.
I have my reasons for going with my tuner and my tuner only.
-His shop is 20 minutes away.
-The shop I've trusted with two AMGs (BenzWorks), hands down, selected them over any tuning company.
-They give me updated tunes
-OBD Flash tool included
-Dyno tuned it to my liking
LOL@bench tuning making anything safer. Weistec, I would imagine, will probably will just give you a off the shelf tune. The way they flash the ECU is different than EC or other OBDII tuners. Unless you get it dyno tuned, you wont have a custom file.

You are able to access the same maps of the ecu via mygenius or bench flash, there is no difference.
You are in very good hands with both companies and can't go wrong.

Glad I've got my cars health entrusted with EC!
Their service is much like this post, to the point and accurate. Just the way I like it!

I just installed my MBH LTHs and EC tune. Only had it out a couple of times cause the roads and weather still suck here. You are going to love it. Music to my ears and so much grunt.

Congrats. You put yourself in a win-win situation deciding between those two. About to install my Eurocharged tune shortly as well (after having the MyGenius taunt me throughout the entire brutal winter).

I just recently picked up my 2012 C63 Coupe and will be taking it to EuroCharged for its tune. They are local here in Toronto, so it makes it convenient. Looks like they do a excellent job.

Hey just saw this post and am looking at getting the same thing done and going with EC. Any advice on getting anything done mod wise before the tune? Not sure if it will change anything with the tune. Also when it comes to their tune, do they allow you to get a pop tune if need be or is that something separate? Thanks!
