It's not about being paranoid, it's common courtesy. U r free to post pics of ur own car with ur license plate (I don't have problem showing my plates on the net either), but I try to ask permission for other ppl plates when possible, otherwise I photoshop their plates out.

Since this turned halfway into a "how come wheel locks don't work thread" ... Another way, at least how some people do it up here, buy cheap sockets slightly smaller than the lug and just hammer them onto the wheel locks and ta-da! Off with the wheel locks.

This is terrible. I've been here before and had this happen to my G35...I would have preferred they stolen my entire car. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to actually deal with this situation when you have no wheels? Can't tow it or flatbed it until new wheels are mounted...I feel for the owner.

So true. Cos they gotta break into your car first to take the lug key they know is in your console or glovie. And if they come up dry there they gotta shuffle through the 30 or 40 key sockets they brought with them.
Then if you're lucky, they get scared off mid job and all you have to deal with is some broken glass, a scraped up seat, a broken glove box door, some missing sunglasses etc, and a rim they have made an ungodly mess of.
But you've still got it. Now you just have to make a car insurance claim for the damages and a house insurance claim for the crap they lifted from the car, and more good news....that means you get two deductibles.

Me? Im gonna spin the lugs half way off every night and HOPE they boost em. It'll save me having to get the curb marks fixed.

I did when I received my 507 in March. To be more specific, I actually asked the dealer whether he could put a C250 badge on. However, he refused. Might still do that myself.
Why do I want others to know what car it is? Attract more attention? The less I get the better.

time to make a body kit that turns a C63 into a gremlin. heck we should pay Mercedes to sell us the camouflage the use to hide new model cars coming out.
