best ECU tune
whats up guys,
I have a 2012 C63 coupe with the development package. The only mods i have on my car besides lightweight mods is a secondary cat and resonator delete with straight pipes. Ive been doing some research on ECU tunes and heard some great things about Velos. However, I've heard that of the p31 it is pointless to do an ecu tune? Can anyone give me some insight on their personal gains with dyno sheets on a p31 car. I know dyno's aren't 100% accurate depending on cars, weather, elevation etc but please help me out!
thank you!!

always wondered if we have the same motor as the E63 6.2L why they still produce more HP in stock format vs a tuned C63 M156 Motor. if you add 20 HP to a P31 that's only at 501hp vs 507 for a stock E63 motor. That's not including options to increase the 2008 E63 output.
Some have mentioned the manifolds are different, but by visual it looks the same.

it's the same exact power plant...most suspect the P31 output is the same as all of the other 63s but is marketed as having less so as not to bruise the bigger sibling egos. I believe there are dynos that have proven as much.

either I am in denial of this, or I just want to find the facts so that I don't feel my butt dyno is better than the real world numbers.

The E 63 does have more available options than the C, not exactly performance oriented but luxury. From what I've read here, most believe MB under-rated the numbers on purpose, until the 507. Unfortunately, a p31 and 507 haven't been dyno'd on the same machine on the same day yet (that I know of).
I believe MB is at less risk by underrating its numbers that way nobody can claim they got shorted or a lemon. Look at the recent 507 reviews, MB claims 0-60 in 4.1, but most of the reviews are in the 3.7-3.9 range. If you haven't yet, watch MotorTrend dyno an E 63 S
Meant to post just the link. Dyno starts at 3:40 or so.

Back to topic for the OP. I have the Eurocharged tune for 3 reasons:
1. I've heard a lot of great reports about them.
2. They continue to work with you as you continue to MOD your car.
3. and most applicable at this time, it raised my top speed limiter.
Look at what shops are close to you so if you ever need some hands on assistance and take that into consideration.

^Eurocharged has a header file as well. If you have an EC tune (or plan on getting one) just get the handheld and you can put multiple files on the handheld.
So if you have headers, run the header file. If you don't have headers, run v5.

so it wont be necessary to do a dyno run after getting headers with this ecu?
the reason i am asking this is because i am from india and i am scared to take my car for a dyno run and setup ecu
thanks

I think you are asking if you need to dyno and tune after headers. With the Eurocharged headers tune you will not need a dyno tuning seasion.

Hi. My car is few days stock. And now i put tune back to car. Can i clear fault memory because there is about 5-6 fault codes.
My scanner says that. Do you realy wish to erase fault memory? If you delete fault codes stored events will also be deleted.
The codes is now in car? But if i erase all codes is that bad? Or shoulf i leave codes in car.
I have OE TUNING tune.

Hi guys, I'm hanging on the edge here towards have my ECU tuned, probably by Eurocharged, for some reasons mentioned above (flash tune, they continue to work with you with your mods, etc).
The thing is, I own a Black Series, and the tune will give me +25whp being optimistic. I'd like to hear it from some one that really drag their cars.. Is it worthy the investiment?
