C63 AMG BLACK or GT-R R35 BLACK
#26
For a daily driver - C63, hands down. Don't get me wrong, the GT-R is impressive. However, the ability to cruise around in complete comfort when you want to is a very nice attribute of the C63. The C63 has plenty of technology (despite the aging design) and overall, it offers a very nice blend of sportiness and luxury (IMHO).

This!
The CBS is a special car, no doubt a future collectable. The Bespoke design look very good in the flesh. The R35 is a monster, but at the end of the day its a Nissan. I know it sounds cliche, but when you are in that echelon of cars, the CBS will always be more desirable.
Don't waste your money on wide bodies and custom paint. The CBS has all of that from the factory. There is no such thing as "heavily modding" the CBS, all you need is a Weistec Stage 3 with built tranny and your good to go. I wouldn't touch a thing after. Out the box the car is a Monster, and its stock form with the addition of the Super Charger It has the likelihood of appreciating down the road.

C63 has HP peak?
I heard these help

HMS Performance C63 Black Series Stage 3 - YouTube
I've seen some insane R35s but this black series is nuts. Get one
Also tons of people would get a C63 over a GTR, C63 is around 40k cheaper in canada, I can buy a c63 507 new, stage 3 it, spend another 15k and still come in cheaper then a new GTR
Lets be realistic, how often do you goto the track? If it's not often, then you aren't going to be using the GTR for what its meant for

Tough choice! AMG all the way for me, however! I'm biased. :P Also, GTR is just terrible for blind spots; granted you'll have a lot of head turns from pedestrians. To me, it's just perfect for tracking. C63 is more of a preferred daily to me imho.

This is the wrong place to make such a post. If you go to the GTR forums, everyone will say GTR, You go to a MB forums everyone will say Mb. People are biased to what they have. Just remember the c63 is not a sports car and will never be one and that's why i never agreed or like the coupe. If you want a sports sedan get a C63. Id you want a sports car go get the GTR....

hearing comments like that was enough to convince me it's not an all around car for me, but to all they have their own needs and preferences. I think the question for some should be GTR or Vette.

Go drive the GTR and I'm sure you'll have your mind made up. It's a great car, especially for the price. It's also a fairly boring car to drive and won't teach you much. All depends on what you want. It's the same reason I don't care for the 911 turbo, it's somewhat boring to drive compared to some other cars. All comes down to what you are looking for.

I own both these cars at the moment and a little time behind the wheel of both will make this an easy decision for someone, one way or another. for me, they are such different cars it's hard to just kind of write up the differences quickly...driving them will make things obvious in a hurry for you.

not a newer GTR but I raced my friends 500AWHP R32 tonight..he launched @ 6k and I just matted it with ESP on, and he pulled me by a car length until 2nd or so then i pulled him pretty good...so the c63 can compete with a GTR my friends R32 is done up to the **** to running around 20PSI upgraded turbos etc

Despite all the comments against GTR driving experience here, I find myself gravitating toward driving the GTR more as I use both cars as DD.

I currently drive a C63 BS w/ Weistec stage 3 and must say after coming from a Lambo Gallardo and LP640, its by far the most fun car out of the 3. Raw power, loud but can be quiet when you need it to be, it's just a blast to drive. Throttle can be a lil touchy at low speeds w/ the stage 3 but it just takes some getting used to. I'm using it for a daily car right but will admit it gets a little tedious with driveways and parking lots cause the front sits low but immediately forget about that after its on the road. I don't have any first hand experience with a GTR so I can't comment on which is better. Thats my $ .2 worth, good luck in your decision.

What type of track driving?
If road course, get the GTR, you'll never make the AMG as fast as a GTR round a track.
Straight line? Get the C63BS
I would get the GTR personally
