Vorsteiner Look-alike Diffuser

Contemplating purchasing this to replace my current (cracked) OEM style CF diffuser. Seems to look like the Vorsteiner one I believe? Does any have one of those? If so, how was the fitment? How is it installed?

If someone has other cf diffusers for sale (other than OEM style) so big fin or something like this, please send me a PM.

I love this diffuser. Especially when the middle fog light is installed. Wish they made for wagon too

It does look nice cause seems like a replica of the Vorsteiner style. And the price is mighty tempting too! I am just worried about installation and fitment at the moment and if someone is able to chime in on that, I might pull the trigger.

How do you know? Did you send them an email to ask about shipping to Hawaii? They offer Whole World Shipping.

On eBay when you're logged into a Hawaii account the shipping section says they don't ship to Alaska and Hawaii. But I messaged them. Hopefully they let me buy it.

I bought an ebay big fin a while back. The fins were crooked. That's the problem with cheap CF parts. Otherwise, it looked great! Just giving you a heads up...might work out well though.

I feel like these eBay parts, it's hit or miss. There's pretty much no quality control so they just sell whatever they manage to get their hands on.

That looks pretty much identical to the ebay one. Perhaps they are the same company? Does SCdynamics have a website or where do I purchase/look them up from?

How was the installation on these? Was it just tabs that you could DIY's or was there brackets and what not needed from the OEM diffuser?

Thanks

SC Dynamics are a sponsor on here, that's why i got one as they had great feedback. As far as i am aware they do not have a e bay account.

email- tony.scdynamics@gmail.com

A bodyshop installed mine and said they needed to trim a small bit off but all the tabs lined up. The body shop installed one extra bracket just because he knew i was going to a Vmax event and didn't want it to flex.

One extra bracket? So I am guessing you need the brackets from the OEM diffuser to install it? My problem is that I don't have my OEM diffuser anymore, so I don't know how it would work.

He just fabricated a bracket, so didn't use anything from the OEM diffuser.

I am not home (working away) or i would have took a quick photo of what he did.

He did state it did not need it, but if it was his he would fit it, just for peace of mind.

Bracket Substitute

I have seen bracket substitutes made out of nuts, bolts and washers. You get a bolt long enough to go from the diffuser to the mounting point. Drill a hole in the diffuser in the appropriate spot and put a bolt through with a washer on either side and spin a nut on (do not tighten it yet). I can't remember if the bolt screws into the mounting point or if you just put it through and pinch it on either side with washers and nuts and snug it down. When the mounting point is secured you tighten down the nut at the diffuser.

Actually I think you're right Mort. From what I remember that is what my buddy who helped me install my current CF diffuser did as we didn't have the tools to remove the butterfly screws or whatever they are on the OEM diffuser to take out the brackets. And now I don't have the OEM diffuser anymore so I won't even have a choice.

I haven't, I was hoping someone else would have. I am little confused in regards to the style I want next. I have the OEM cf style but I don't know if I want this style or the big fin style next.

I don't think it'll be crooked actually....but yea obviously you never what the fitment is going to be like. The same seller also has a big fin style, which is why I am confused as to which one I should get!

What do you guys think looks nicer on our cars?

To be honest I don't recall who I got it from but it was a seller on here that had a good deal for a brand new one. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a JBSPEED diffuser cause I had one of those on my C350 and this feels pretty similar.
