Hey all,

I am planning to buy this car what do you think? I am not a fan of red, but I like the fact that its only driven 7000KM.. I am not sure if its P31? So please people can you tell me if yes it is or not?

The interior is red + black. I am sad it doesn't have the sport package rims? so I am guessing this is not the sport package? although it said its full option? So please provide me with any suggestion! Any help would be appreciated

BTW the car doesn't include the carbon fiber spoiler, nor red callipers, I am guessing its just a p30?

Yeah I'd think you are correct.
Maybe also get the VIN and ask Merc to pull out the options list and see.

That's a nice looking coupe; always liked those split spoke wheels. I thought the P31 replaced the P30. I don't think it has either.

Yea. No P31 or P30. P30 package was replaced by P31 in 2010 IIRC, so the coupe was only available with the P31 (red calipers, alcantara wheel, etc).

I am sorry I couldn't get what you were trying to say. Do you mean that since 2010 there are no such a thing called p30 or 31? all cars have the same engine? or do you mean that this red car is a p30 c63?

I think you are confused: both are performance packages that were available as options depending on the model year. You can have a p30 C63, p31 C63, or a base C63. I would estimate 75% of C63s are base as it was a $5K+ option.

P30 was the original version available until some time in 2011. Better brakes, LSD, firmer suspension, but the engine is the same as base cars.

P31 replaced P30 in 2011 I believe. Some 2011 and all facelifted cars (ie coupes and 2012+ sedans) might have the p31 option. Additional 30hp, red calipers, etc.

This particular car has does not have p31 (it is impossible for it to have p30) and is a base car. You can search p30 vs p31 if you want the exact differences as I left some stuff out.

If it does infact have a performance package it would be p31 as the guys mentioned seeing its a facelift

P31 was the later year pre face lift C63s I believe starting from 2010 into Facelift ones

is the intake manifold light grey or dark? if it's dark its p31..if not its p30

And what color are they on a coupe without a performance package? This isn't a reliable method.

dude its simple, p30 was replaced by the p31. This car can only possibly have p31. Now is it a p31? I'm uncertain since in Canada p31 comes with red brakes, carbon fibre spoiler and interior trim and the alcantara steering.

Yeah I thought the same, this car is a coupe so 2012+ = P31

P31 has red brakes and this one doesn't, hence it's the base model.

P31 became available in the 2010 model year in NA starting with Dec 2009 build dates and replaced the P30 package available on some 2009 and some 2010 MY cars.

So guys the car is only used 6 months. Its non-p31. What do you suggest? Shall I wait? Someday a clean p31 will come in front of my eyes?

P31 isn't worth the money. Get this one and once you get used to the power, throw a tune at it. Plus the normal leather steering wheel will age better. And I don't like red calipers on a red car usually.

You just look at brake caliper color and its not either because its not red.

Yup - and you also have (had?) true 2-piece rotors where you can separate the hat from the disc. Unfortunately MB later replaced these with the permanently fused kind.
