No Speeding in San Francisco!

Not necessarily C63 related but it could happen to any of us on a good day of "spirited driving..." Allegedly!

Yeah wtf? My friend got caught by the same way in Florida! I never knew that the US started to have such a technology to track people who speed.

Many states use aircraft. PA and Jersey do, MD has signs that say they do, but I have never heard of a plane originated ticket in MD so far.

Regular speeding is one thing.. doing double the limit in traffic is absolutely stupid, in this case, I say it is a legit catch, versus the usual lets bleed our constituents dry as much as we can for doing 65 in a 55...

I don't care how fast he was going, so long as nobody else was around (didn't watch the video if there was one). Big Brother is always watching now.

If he did this stunt in traffic, just deserts.

Lesson here if a cop knocks on your door ask them to come back with a warrant. Call your lawyer, and don't say anything. Poor ******* got the book thrown at him because he admitted guilt, and waved several of his rights.

I question how appropiate is it for the police to arrest him at gunpoint - he committed no violent crime. I also question his sentance of 20 days slave labor.

Timestamp shows this to be the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, and the story says he got picked out because he was slicing through traffic at 120. Darwin usually removes people like this from the population pool before they procreate. He's an idiot and deserves everything the judge gave him.

As much as this sucks and as much as I would hate for this to happen to me, this is a legit catch. If you're doing 120 mph for a steady period of time in traffic, you deserved to get the book thrown at you. What an idiot.

Though I admit that I've gone at those speeds, they usually last for a few seconds or just enough to get pass slow moving traffic.

That being said, be careful out there!

No Speeding In San Francisco.

A lot of us see bikes going very fast. A while back, on a a lonely wide open, no other traffic divided four lane a bike passed me, like I was sitting still at a little over 70. The noise startled me. I decided to see just how fast he was going. Accelerating, at a good pace, I drew near him. Didn't want to hold that speed for long. Anything 90 or so gets attention.
Pretty fast.
But, I hear some, of these bikes, can do over 200 or at least 195ish.
No aircraft here. Too expensive and frequent cloudy days.
I need a visor or something over my license plate though. I've notice the paint fading a bit.
Around here only so many cars like mine. If anything serious, everyone would know where the car lives.
Some rascal, in a near by town, has one with black spoke 19s and tuned.
He likes to go faaast. Wish he would stop it. They seem to think it is me or just like to watch the car. I stay out, of the town as much as I can.

While I agree, despite it being 1:30 AM it is on a somewhat busy section of highway during most times of the day and just isn't a smart move on the driver's part. Our area is chock full of p ussy drivers and ppl weeping for "the children" so to speak.

Location has a lot to do with it. Weaving through traffic at 120 is pretty stupid. But there are stretches of I-5 through the Central Valley where traffic moves at 100. Including farmers in pickups! I have personally been passed by the CHP at 90 on I-5. On an empty, straight, stretch of interstate that's 20 miles between exits, they cut you a lot more slack.

My boss was checking out his Ferrari GTO after getting it US converted back in the gray-market days. He was doing full-out runs on I-5 between two exits in the middle of nowhere. It turns out a CHP cop was having lunch in a little place between the two onramps, from which he had a "private" access to the freeway.

He watched my boss zip by at least 150 MPH a half-dozen times while he had his lunch, then calmly paid and nailed him. It turns out he was a gearhead. My boss let him drive the GTO and that was the end of it.
