Weistec Will Be In Chicago Area 5/16-5/17
The Weistec guys will be out in the Naperville area this Friday the 16th. They will be able to do tunes at my shop for anyone that is interested. We are headed out to Byron Raceway on Saturday(weather permitting) to run my CLK, they will also be able to do tunes up at the track.
If you live in the Chicagoland area and have been thinking about a Weistec tune this is an opportunity to get an on the spot tune with no down time or hassle of removing, packing and shipping your ECU, just show up and they will take care of the rest. You can be in and out with a bunch more power and torque in about 30 minutes.
Let me know if anyone is interested and I can give you my shop address.

Say a group got together in Pittsburgh and wanted Weistec to fly in and install a tune
If a suitable shop or garage was provided and if you would be willing to entertain such an arrangement what would the minimum number of units required to make it feasible be?

I don't want to speak for Weistec, but I am going to be running my C BS and SLS BS down at Daytona next weekend (5/2-5/25) in the Optima USCA race. A couple of the Weistec guys will be down there for race and tech support for me at the event. Not sure if they were planning on bringing tuning equipment and not sure if Daytona is anywhere near you but I am sure if they had a few people interested in purchasing tunes they could be talked into bringing their tuning stuff along.
You should register for the Optima USCA event, there are still a few spots available.

I hope you take some good videos of this thing because obviously most of us will not be able to see it in person.

Thanks Ahmad, I am going to try. Weather is looking good, mid 50's, partly cloudy and only a 10% chance of rain. They are usually very good with the track prep at Byron. Track has been fast this spring. A freind of mine just went 8.5x out there in his AMS GTR a few weeks ago and a Fox body Mustang world record just fell out there two weeks ago as well. I assume our cold dry spring has a lot to do with it.

Early, I usually leave Naperville by 7:00am, its about an hour drive from Naperville depending on which part of town you are coming from. I beleive racing starts at 10:00. You should run your car, it's a Test and Tune open to anyone, I think its's like $30 to run all day.

If any of you that have PM'd me about a tune are interested in Weistec dry filters let me know, they will give you a good price on tune/filter package deal. Their tunes work even better with their filters, migt s well maximize the power for a few bucks more. Let me know by noon tomorrow becuase they are flying out here from California tomorrow afternoon.

Jim, That car is a beast! I hope the engine fire wasn't too bad in the second run I saw. Thanks for the invite today.

Thanks, it was a great day at the track and the engine fire ended up being nothing serious. We blew an oil line and some oil poured onto the hot headers. All is good, we replaced the line and the car ran fine back at my shop tonight. Going to head back out in a couple weeks and go 8's. Thanks for coming out, next time you should run you car, it's a good time. We should grab a drink since we only live a couple miles apart, great meeting you today.
