How to get vehicle build data with VIN
I was looking at a 2011 C63 for my next car, but I was wondering if there was a way to use the VIN to look up what packages a car was built with. In particular is a C63 in ATL that was listed with out the P31 package - but the dealer swears its there, but couldn't produce proof. Also they said it had keyless go according to their database - but you had to insert the key in order to start the car.
Is there is a way to call Mercedes or use an online resource to access the build date with the VIN?
Thanks, Rick

Try posting the VIN in this thread and Valvestud will help you out.

Just subscribe for free at the Mercedes site http://epc.startekinfo.com
Then run a "datacard."
You can check as many VINs as you want
Side benefit is you can look up all the parts on your car.
Note that they will ask for a credit card (reportedly to verify country of residence) but they've never charged anything to it.
