Think of it as something that turns the throttle into more of an on-off switch. If all you do is rolling starts, mash the gas and go in a straight line, it can't hurt. If you track the car or autocross, where good throttle control is critical, it is absolutely the WRONG thing to do to your car. Its driver preference and sport mode (not race) makes the car a tad spunkier which is a nice addition for everyday driving. In race mode, I agree with everything you have mentionned above, not good for track but sport should work well.

It remindes me of the old throttle pulley modifications I used a long time....yes...in my honda.

I'm buying one too lol. it is a great affordable mod, and l can always turn it off or choose the sport or race mode. A friend of mine has this in his cl55 and i fell in love with it!
