I believe the glove boxes on RHD models are not as deep as those on the LHD models in Europe/NA. Something to do with the layout in the engine bay being slightly different, with less room behind the firewall on the LEFT side of the dash in the RHD models.
So not so crazy a question after all.

After consideration, I've removed my manual from my car. The weight savings is phenomenal. Handling has improved dramatically and I've shaved at least a half second off the 0-60.

The weight savings is really only noticeable at higher speeds. Certainly will take a full second off anyone's 1/4 mile!!!

there are these cylindrical shaped thingies on my wheels
they protrude ~1.25" and are 1/3" in diameter

if I remove the screw on cap and press this little 'tit' I hear a hissing sound
is this an issue?

it's the same size glovebox

he said he 'believes' it is different
it is not (there are actually DIN/ISO specs on the volumes)
it fits

don't dis' America
no need for that horse shyte
btw: MOST countries, especially when population is used as the basis of comparison use LHD as standard...even the country that builds the cars
not only 'murrrica'

the majority of your responses have been quite demeaning actually given that a few other people share the same issue (both in this thread as well as the other thread that i wasn't aware of when i first posted this up). so if there's any unwarranted "horse shyte", it should actually start with you first. a bit of pot calling the kettle black, it seems.

I wouldn't say demeaning, more like disbelief and ridicule
At least I didn't say Australia is a colony of inbred convicts

my first post said it fits
then I took a picture at your request
a video was then posted along with a link to another thread about the same thing that you would have seen if you searched instead of asking inane horse-shyte

i mean come on, it's not rocket science
open lid, insert book, close lid
I'm not the only one who thinks this is ridiculous

but then i'd agree with you anyway because that's where australia's roots lie haha...

and is it so hard for you to believe that not everything in the world is the same as what you believe? if i was able to fit the manual in, then why the hell would i make a thread about it?

it's not what I believe
the boxes are the same
people from the UK (rhd) have put the manuals in them
it is FACT

why you made a thread is the question...because it fits
not square, a bit askew, but it fits
I have no idea why ANOTHER thread would be made
hopefully YOU know why you made it

my thread was created because obviously my questioning is how to fit it in the GLOVEBOX. the other thread that you are referring to has no mention of GLOVEBOX in the title, hence why i was unable to locate it upon my initial search. which in turn, is the reasoning behind me creating a new thread.

now if it bothers you that much that i have created this thread and you are unable to comprehend the above reasoning, then please feel free to request that an admin combine my thread into the existing thread. or better yet: just ignore the thread and continue on with your day.

now onto the other bit: obviously the manual/folder does not fit in some of our gloveboxes. i can appreciate that it does fit in yours and many other people's: which is why i have created this thread seeking advise on how you (read: the people who have successfully done it) have managed to do it. or is that still too hard for you to believe?

when I searched for 'glove', 'glovebox', 'owner' OR 'manual' each alone this came up:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...rs-manual.html

it's not that you created the thread, but that the thread was created PERIOD lol

it fits in ALL gloveboxes of the w204 series, lhd or rhd, to say it doesn't fit is incorrect...you may not like the WAY it fits, or you may not be able to make it fit...but it fits without question or doubt

you have pictures, videos, another thread...if you can't do it, that doesn't mean it can't be done, just that YOU can't figure it out

buy an Audi
my RS4 has a cubby under the steering wheel, a nice little spring tensioned slot that the manual tucked into
problem solved

this ranks with some of my all time favorites
what oil
what wax
what tires
which color is best
which wheels

lol

I love those white gloves that the car comes with. They make me laugh every time I see them. Makes me want to put them on and pull out some Grey Poupon from my glovebox.

and when you say "YOU" can't figure it out, re-read some of the other reponses: there are a few other people.
