Fitting owner's manual into glovebox
OK, this is a strange request but can someone take a photo of how they fit their owner's leather-bound manual into their glovebox?
I just picked up my 2010 C63 Estate today and cannot for the life of me get the glovebox to close with the leather-bound manual inside. When I put it into the top shelf, it doesn't go in deep enough. When I put it into the bottom shelf, it goes in fairly well but it won't close as the manual gets pushed upwards by the glovebox.
Help!
Thanks in advance,
Linh

Put it in the trunk next to the similarly poorly designed jack, which incidentally is used to lift the car to install ridiculously high offset wheels. And don't forget that's coincidentally right next to the recalled tail light wire harness / board.

You know there is a design failure when your car's own user manual doesn't even fit in the glove box haha.
Well mine fits, buts it's a pain in the butt to close the glove box. I'll try to snap a pic if I think about it tonight

Mine fits fine also but then there's no room for the CD case. So I moved the manual to the trunk. It fits in with the spare, but I don't know if the estate configuration is the same.

haha @ some of the responses. thanks everyone
I know mine fit because when the car was delivered, the manuals were locked away in the glovebox to begin with but I didn't remove it so didn't see how it was done.
can you take a quick pic for me, please?

Ha ha. I so had the same problem. Like most moved the crap from my previous ride and tried to jam it all in the petite glove box, along with the monster manuals, and like anyone would have had I couldn't get them all to fit. I swear I nearly ripped half the door off of the hinges just trying to close the thing. Finally figured it out somehow. Hilarious.

Yea, sure, just don't try and stuff a single napkin in there too, otherwise your whole dashboard will explode. Not sure if you noticed that the manuals are also like 80% filler too that could totally be cut. I read the things and I know they need to put in all of the safety stuff, and even repeat the same stuff like 50 times, but jeez it made it a painful read. It would fit a lot easier if they cut the fluff. But I guess we'd need to go back in time to a world where people would expect hot coffee to burn your *** if you spilled it on yourself, rather than suing McDonald's so that every coffee cup in the world now warns that the contents are "hot".

Only gloves should be in it
Maybe chevy owners should have read the part about not hanging crap on the key
the euro manual is 1/2 the size
Less lawyers over there lol

**** after all the positive replies in this thread, i still can't get mine to fit in my glovebox properly without the glovebox almost coming off its hinges so i've just put that ****er in the boot above the spare wheel. plenty of room there (maybe cos i have an Estate?).
